Vehicle Detail

Selling my 1966 Mustang Coupe, starts right up and runs good but needs TLC. I am Posting alot of pictures so you will have no surprises when you pick up. Please feel free to come see in person. The car has a very old restoration so it will need to be gone over again. Overall very good running car that's pretty complete. As you can see from the pictures, there is Very Little rust damage underneath. The Only real rust through Underneath is the Passenger Side front Floor pan (see picture). The Floors and front frame rails are really good, the rears are going to have to be replaced at some point. Because the car was sitting under a pine tree for many years it has some rust topside, mostly in the trunk area. The good news is that Mustangs Unlimited makes all the parts needed in reproduction to completely replace all the worn areas. I recently replaced a few parts, but of course there is always more to do. Here's a list of what has been recently replaced. All 4 tires have less than 5,000 miles. Ignition switch and bezel Carburetor fuel pump Trunk Lock Door arm rests, both sides Transmission flywheel (AKA. flex plate) Transmission mount transmission gasket and fluid I have a bunch of extra parts that come with the car. This car would make a fun restoration for someone that has the time. Although this car does have some rust in the common areas, it is Very solid underneath, which is pretty unusual for a Long Island car. Drive car while restoring. I ran the VIN and door tag to show the Original specs. for the car. Thanks. On Mar-27-12 at 14:44:51 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple of things to Add: I have had alot of questions on this car. Please keep in mind that this is a 46 year old car so there are items that need to be fixed if you want them to work. Here is a list of items that some people might want to fix. Of course this depends on how you will be Using the car, If it's a daily driver or just used on weekends when it's nice out. If you currently own or have previously owned a classic Mustang, what I am stating below is Not a big deal. If you are Not handy or can't afford to get involved in fixing up and/or restoring a classic car, Please Do Not Bid on this car, save us Both the trouble. Like every other classic Mustang the cowls leak water when it rains. So if you plan on driving it in the rain I would suggest repairing the cowls. MustangsUnlimited and other parts suppliers sells the patch kit for this. The wipers do Not work. Again, not a big deal if you don't drive in the rain. I am not sure what is wrong, might be the wiper motor or a simple fuse or wiring issue. As I mentioned in the Ad, the trunk area needs repair(see pictures), like every other Classic Mustang that spent a considerable time outside. The original color was Blue with Blue interior. I bought the car painted white, which was done some time ago, maybe 15-20 years. As I stated in the Ad, this car runs very nice but like anything else, I would recommend checking the Brakes, steering, etc. before going on a long Road Trip.I am sure there are things that I left out so, Please ask as many questions as you like and come see in person if possible.I have a YouTube Video of the car running that I made yesterday. Ebay for some reason will not let me post it in the ad so, email me if you want to see it. Thanks.
