Vehicle Detail

1966 Dodge Dart is an ALL ORIGINAL ARIZONA SURVIVOR. has 225 Slant Six, 3 Speed manual, all the chrome on the outside of the car, has original 13-inch steel rims with the full size spare in the trunk, and also has all 4 dogdish hubcaps. New carpet, reupholstered bench seats both front and back, headliner in good condition. Outside: All the chrome trim is there, bumpers are in phenomenal condition. New paintjob to the original KK1 color((Medium Turquoise)) The grill is in good condition, the tail lamps are in good condition, all the lights work on the outside. The Brake lights, back-up, turn signals, headlights both bright and dim work. The gaps on this car are AMAZING. For those of you who dont know, it was very hard to come across a car with good gaps. This is a car that has amazing gaps. The doors close good, the side and back windows are in good shape. HEAD TURNER wherever you go. Arizona car its whole life, NO ROT/RUST ANYWHERE. Absolutely SOLID Inside: New carpet i installed, had the seats reupholstered to match the inside and the exterior KK1 color. The headliner is original with no rips or tears at all. I changed the original steering wheel with a '66 GT wheel, however I will send the Original also. Bench seats in both front and back, very unique to this Era of car. Engine: 225 Slant Six with a Holley 1920 one barrel on top. Carburetor was rebuilt, engine runs good. Tranny is a 3 on the tree manual transmission, with a new clutch-plate assembly. Original miles on engine are 91xxx. Whenever i am at car shows, the older men are always telling me how this engine was called "MoPar's Leaning Tower of Power" and that "Best Six-cylinder that has ever been built". I have also been told that with a little tinkering you can get this car to get around 30 MPG which is very nice in todays economy. Now for you hot rod guys, if your tired of beefing up V8's or dont have the budget for a V8 build-up, with the right set up, you can get the 225 Slant Six to do a 12-second Quarter mile. Very fun car to work on, i have had such a blast driving it, and having good times with my dad on it. now it is time to pass this on to someone else. I have the build sheet that comes with the car, i put it inside a book to keep it flat and protected. Needs VERY little to become pristine. Low reserve. This car will make for a good graduation gift for when you send your kid to college, he will have a classic, but still have the economy of a 4-cylinder. Good Reliable car. On Mar-27-12 at 20:03:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I want to apologize, for some reason the last part didn't go through when filling out the description, it was supposed to say: Overall: This car is a good car, very little needed to make it good. The engine runs, and the car does drive, however the brakes need some tending to. One of the drums has a VERY slow leak, it takes about 4-5 weeks for the entire reservoir to become close to empty. Its a simple fix, you can still drive it around and it stops fine, however it will be needing fixing. The carb has been professionally rebuilt, and the radiator has a small crack in the top that has been soldered over, it is still the original radiator and a new one is not too expensive and It doesn't overheat at all. The car would be very good for a graduating high schooler as a running project, it looks good, and it is good. you cannot drive this home, it will need to be shipped or towed. I have been away at college so it hasn't been driven in about two years. I was in Arizona last summer and barely drove it.
