Vehicle Detail
Ok Cougar fans, here is my 69 E-cat up for sale. This car needs finishing, but the heavy lifting has already been done. I spent over $15k with KTL Restorations in VA for sheet metal work and the engine/tranny rebuilds. Anyone who knows anything about old Cougars knows exactly who KTL is. I'm selling the car because I am getting involved in a new business and cannot lay out the 8-10 grand that it will take to finish the car. When completed, this car is easily a $25-30k car in the current market. Likely a bit more once things get back to normal. The car is currently stored inside at a friends garage, but that is a temporary situation and cant last indefinitely, which is what is prompting me to try and find a buyer. Under no circumstances would I let this car sit outside in its current state, and I really dont have anywhere practical to put it. This is a numbers matching car. The 351 Windsor was completely rebuilt, as well as the FMX automatic transmission. The car had a new cowl, floorpans, torque boxes, 1/4 panels, the works. The seats have all been re-done. There is blocking/sanding and minor finish bodywork still to be done to get her ready for paint, but not much. It would cost somewhere around 8-10 grand to take care of the final bodywork, paint, and assembly, as well as a few minor parts here or there that might need replacing or rechroming. For example, I would probably have looked around for an NOS pair of front fender trims prior to reassembly. Someone else though may think the ones I have are just fine. Things like that. All Eliminator specific parts are present. As you can tell in the photos, the camera case panels are in great shape. I also included a photo of the engine block to show the correct VIN stampings to prove it is numbers matching. I also attached a photo of what the car will look like when finished. (minus the sunroof of course). I'm not a car dealer, so this listing probably leaves a bit to be desired. If anyone wants a specific photo taken and sent to them, thats no problem, and I can probably get that done within a day. The car is located in Tampa, FL. I can deliver it within 200 miles for free. More than that, and you are on your own. Any questions you can call me anytime at 813-503-8109. If anyone wants to come look at the car I can set that up with a day or so notice to get access to my friends garage. I do have a few locals that are interested, so I reserve the right to end this listing at any time if a local sale occurs. Also, I believe the car can be stored at my friends garage for up to 45 days after the sale if need be, but I will have to confirm that with him. On Mar-26-12 at 22:00:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Edit: I have to add this for obvious reasons: Only the $500.00 deposit can be paid via paypal. The remaining balance must be in cash or certified funds within 72 hours of auction close. Also, if sold to a Florida buyer who wants me to deliver it (up to 200 miles), the balance must be paid in full prior to me loading up the car on my end.
