This is for a 1975 Pontiac Firebird Transam. I believe it has an original 129k miles (judging by condition of the body). This car is ready to be restored. Interior worn but not as bad as most '75 transams. This car does run and drive. it has not been licensed since December of 2007. this car starts up and runs, no blue smoke because i do not believe it burns any oil., i would like to think it has a strong running engine, i have just rebuilt the carburetor in the last week, also replaced the fuel pump and the main fuel line that runs from the fuel pump to the carburetor , new plugs, wires, and distributor cap . This car was professionally restored by the former owner in 1991. It is definitely due to be restored again. The body is 100% perfectly straight, no major dents, minimal rust on rear quarters (as seen in photos). Almost no dings anywhere on the car, and the only spot where Bondo was used is on rear quarter driver side by rear side light. Car has only been repainted once (in 1991). Original cameo white color. Interior is known as ox blood red and black. I believe all parts on the car are original and OEM. Original racing steering wheel, shaker hood, limited slip posi rearend. there is no deep rust below any of the floor pans only surface rust if any, Original carpet is not worn through in front of any of the seats. Headliner is in mint condition, red in color and leather. Dashboard leather has minor cracks. All gauges and instruments are in good working order, as well as transmission (350 hydromatic turbo) is in good working condition. Since it was last licensed it has been started up every couple of months but not driven but a couple of blocks. Original rally 2 rims with good tires on them will also be included with the sale of the car. Factory dual exhaust. This was the first year of the catylatic converter. Engine has not been modified and is the 400 cu. in. small block engine. There are no knocking noises in the engine. The transmission should be the factory 321 foot pounds of torque. The last owner of this car owned it for over 20 years and she passed away at the end of September 2011, which is when I purchased this car. No major rust under the hood except for a little bit on the battery pan. This is not a car ready to be licensed and driven without someone going through it and making sure everything is perfect. The only reason it hasn't been licensed since '07 is because the last owner in '07 had a minor stroke that kept her from driving, but she refused to sell the car until she died. (I bought this car from her estate.) You are welcome to come and inspect this car before bidding. Buyer is responsible for having the car shipped after the auction, i am always home so finding a pick up time is easy for me as i am usually available. Payment is expected immediately after auction ends. The lack of rust on this car for being a 36 year old car is rare. Nobody has rigged this car in any way other than adding a push-button start because ignition is in need of replacement.
