I restored this car in 2004 for my wife.she rarely drives it. I bought he car in Tinley Park Ill, that man had bought it in Missouri to be a daily driver. I decided to replace the headliner and that lead to a total restoration. The only things that were not replaced or rebuilt are the transmission and front suspension. the motor is 1640cc that I purchased as a rebuild, it runs great but has a small oil leak. I converted it to 12 volts. All tin was replaced along with starter, alternator, fuel pump, carburator distributor,etc. All four shocks were replaced. New chrome stock wheels were put on it. New bumpers , all rubbers and seals were replaced,any glass that needed replaced was taken care of. I purchased an interior kit along with extra padding and replaced the intire exterior for head liner to carpet. New steering wheel was purchased and a radio with cd player was installed along with 4 speakers. I removed all 4 fenders hood and deck lid. I did all the body work and paint. It is painted base coat clear coat black. then I wet sanded and buffed the car. The car was probably a 90% rust free car. I have detailed restoration pictures as well as all receipts from the build. During restoration I discovered that it had been hit in the left rear at some time. The left fender had ben replaced, and I believe the rear pan was replaced also . There was some work done on the body in that area, I replaced the deck lid. This is an amatuer restoration, however the car has wone awards and is a hit wherever it goes.
