Vehicle Detail

1999 SUBARU IMPREZA 2.5RS COUPE This is a 3 owner car with all 3 owners being middle aged adults. It has been well cared for and garaged its entire life. It scores 63 on Autocheck with a range of 44-67. With 13 years and ~130,000 miles, this car has averaged 10,000 miles/year. This car has 4 new "quality" tires. It has the factory stereo with factory sub-woofer which sound excellent. In 2007, the second owner decided to customize this with his son as a father/son project while he was going to medical school . They began with the 2.5L stock engine and rebuilt with ACCEL racing bearings, Cometic head gaskets, ceramic pistons, port and polished heads, and delta cams, otherwise stock parts were used in the entire rebuild. They powder coated a lot of items under the hood as you can see in the pictures. An Eaton M62 supercharger was added with 6lbs boost and when we bought this car we disconnected the supercharger. The car was very fast but the mileage was not what we were used to, having owned 5 Subaru's already. The pulley and bracket for the supercharger remain with the car if you should want to reconnect it, however the car runs fine without the supercharger connected. They installed drilled and slotted rotors, new pads, new calipers and new wheel bearings. They ran 2 1/2" stainless UNEL header, Random Tech high-flow stainless steel cat, and 2 1/2" OBX cat-back stainless exhaust with Kartboy hangers. The interior appointments include '04 STi front and rear seats along with the door panels, rear deck, carpeting and mats all in the STi blue color. A 2 gauge pillar pod and a 3 gauge dash pod compliment the factory gauges. They include boost, fuel/air ratio, temp, oil pressure and ammeter gauges. The body had new paint, a R22B wing (the stock wing is on it now), STi scoop, headlamps, fog lamps and cornering lights. This car is very tight and drives like a go-kart on rails. There are no issues with the transmission or the symmetrical AWD system. It has a fresh engine oil and filter change along with fresh transmission oil and filter change. Both done within the last 500 miles and with synthetic oils. Included with the purchase of the car are 3 keys, the original hood scoop, the R22B wing (the last picture below shows the car with this wing attached), and several other parts that came with the car when we bought it (see photos). The second owner was said to have put $20,000 into this car. We have $12,000 in it and at 60 years of age I need a more comfortable car for my elder years. I do not see any reason this car cannot be driven, as-is, for another 50,000 miles and therefore we are offering this for a fair reserve of $4500 in hopes that someone younger will take this car and enjoy for what it is or further modify it as you so desire. Although there are a few minor blemishes, I believe that this car easily rates 8.5 out of 10 on appearance and overall quality.
