I am listing this vehicle for a friend who's husband passed away a few months ago. This car was his baby for several years. He bought it new in 76. He was in his mid eighties when he passed away. This Lincoln has been stored in a detached garage with a concrete floor for the last 20 years. The transmission went out so it was put in storage and he bought a new vehicle. (the transmission still needs to be rebuilt.) Description: 1976 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe , 2 door, 120,184 one owner miles, all original, loaded with all power accessories and they all work, 460 cu inch V8, C6 automatic transmission, It still has the original am/fm/ 8 track stereo in it. The 8 track comes with the original "Quadrasonic Balance" 8 track tape that was used to set the balance on the stereo speakers. The 8 track tape player still plays and so does the 8 track balance tape. The engine runs good as long as you dribble gas into the carb. The gas tank needs to be drained and new fuel put in. It probably needs the carb rebuilt since the old gas has set so long. The brakes still work when we pushed it out of the garage. It has a clear title!!!!!!! Take a look at the pictures and see if this is the Lincoln for you. Since I have had so many questions I am adding this note: The car will not drive onto a trailer,truck,transport. It will need to be winched onto you transport of any kind. The trans will not work at all.
