1986 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 This truck has been my daily driver for the last 2 months. The 300 six engine runs very well. It starts easily. I've been averaging 16 mpg in mixed driving.It has a manual choke cable mounted on the dash. It always started in the cold weather. The 4 speed manual works properly. The axles are geared with 3.08 gears. The 4x4 and manual hubs work as they should. The truck drives and handles very well. The steering is tight, and does not pull to one side. The body is rusty, but the frame and spring shackles are solid. The interior of the bed is solid. The following has been done in the last 3 months:A hinge was replaced on the driver's door.Both u-joints were replaced in the rear drive shaft.The tailgate was replaced.Oil and filter changed.Features:Bed linerUnder bumper hitchCrank windowsThe interior is in very good conditionTilt wheelGoodyear all terrain tires with over 50% treadIssues:Body is rustyA/C does not workThere is only one fuel tank (rear).The valve cover leaks.The u-joints in the front axle will need to be replaced soon.The muffler has a leakThis is a reliable, dependable old truck that would serve someone well.
