Hi, I am selling my 2004 VW Jetta TDI Wagon GL. It has a manual transmission and 146,498 miles. The original owner was from California and the car spent most of its life there and does not have any rust. It has a clean carfax and has never been in an accident. It drives great and the engine is in excellent condition. I have owned the car for the last year and I have used it mostly for highway business trips. The car works great because you can fold down the rear seats flat into the floor and then you have enough space to haul a lot of cargo. I normally average 47 mpg on the highway and 35 in the city. I tried to take pictures that would show any damage. The car has a few door dings and scratches, but from a few feet away you can not see most of them. The air conditioning blows cold. The seats are cloth and they are in very good condition for the most part. There are a couple small stains but no rips or tears. The dash is in excellent condition as you can see. The headliner is also in great condition. The suspension is pretty good. The tires have 10% tread. Everything in the car works except for the CD player. The CD player does not work, but the radio and the tape player work. The spare tire and tire changing tools are also included with the car. For recent maintenance I have replaced the battery and the glow plugs. I have also done a few oil changes and I have always used Mobil1 0w-40 with the 505 rating. The timing belt was replaced by a previous owner at 72,000 miles. For replacement timing belts VW recommends that you change them every 100k miles, so the next timing belt service will be do at 172,000 miles. I have all of the service and parts receipts from previous owners and myself. My car drives great. The manual transmission still shifts like it was new. It is not sloppy like in some used cars. The engine is in great condition and you can still hear the spooling sound of the turbo as you are accelerating. Being able to hear the spooling sound of the turbo while you are accelerating is the most important thing to look for when you are buying a TDI. Many VW tdi owners do not know that you have to use synthetic oil that has a 505 rating. If you use the wrong oil it will ruin the turbo. They also do not know that you should always wait 1 minute after starting the engine to let the turbo warm up. Another important thing to know is that the manual transmissions will last to 300k miles, while automatic transmissions only last to 100k miles. This car is somewhat rare because it was the last year that they made the TDI with a manual transmission. I have cared for my TDI very well and I know the next owner is going to be happy with it. I have done my best to describe the true condition of my car. I have a 100% feedback rating and I have sold about 10 other vehicles on ebay before including cars, trucks, and motorcycles. The winner of the auction needs to send a $500 deposit by wire transfer within 5 days of the end of the auction. If you want you can fly in and I will pick you up at the airport. If you want to ship the car that is fine, but you need to arrange all the details yourself and you also have to pay for the car in advance. I will drop the car off at the shipper's.
