Vehicle Detail
This is one sweet ride. Totally restored down to every nut and bolt. Original 1971 CGP Z28, LT1 solid lifter motor. It is not the matching # motor that came with the car. BUT it is a correct date coded Z28 long block, that is a perfect match for the production date of the car. Block is dated; feb 8th 1971. The pad is stamped ; V0212CGP, and the trim tag production date is ; !st week in march. Everything on the motor is correct, including water pump and carb dates. Motor completly machined .030. bronze guides, all new parts, balanced from balancer to clutch .Trans total rebuild, gears, springs ,keys, seals, whatever it needed. Trans is a M21, with original rebuilt rear with 3:42 posi 10 bolt. This is a real Z28 designated on trim tag. Radio, tilt column, gage cluster, heater box and all components all rebuilt. On Feb-29-12 at 07:32:30 PST, seller added the following information: The body had a rotary jig full restoration with new full quarters.LH,NOS, RH aftermarket. New tail lite panel, GM doors, fenders, and upper and lower GM header panels. Body shell was in Great shape, with minimal rust to floors. They were replaced with new. The subframe and correct 71 control arms are powdercoated. Everything from the steering wheel nut to the box and out to the spindles is rebuilt or new. Same goes for the rear. New springs, perches, hangers, shocks.Original front and rear sway bars. ALL the wire harnesses are new, including fuse panel, and everything out from there. The pigtail is there for a console installation. The windshield and door glass are new, tinted, with antenna . All the trim is NOS or high end stainless, NOT aluminum. All Z28 emblems are NOS. Seals are NOS or GM produced latex. The interior is the correct JADE GREEN, and it was a real job to restore. Mint condition deluxe seat belts fully restored, Impossible to find NOS shift knob on the correct Hurst shifter, also rebuilt. I did make a couple upgrades. 1- I put a little dome on the piston to get it back to the 365 HP range. I also installed a PERTRONIX billet electronic vac advance distributor. Then there is the DETROIT SPEED wiper system that gives you 5 int speed and 2 constant. It has its own harness, and the switch fits in the dash perfect with NO mods to anything, and can be changed back very easily. The car comes with 5 z28 wheels. 2 are correct date codes, 3 are not. The spare is correct. Also comes with original valve covers, with the push in oil plug. This car is strong. You CAN jack this car up by the bumpers. Car has 241 miles on everything, and the engine is still breaking in. Which means you will have to make miner timing and carb adjustments. On Mar-02-12 at 04:29:47 PST, seller added the following information: In the first pic it looks like the stripes are not straight, THEY ARE, its an optical illusion caused by the camera. .In CT. they don't issue titles after 25 years old. So this is being sold on A STATE of CT. Q1 form. (bill of sale).
