1982 PORSCHE 911 Carrera Original Paint *** 78,518 Original Miles *** Same Owner for 24 Years I am listing this Porsche for a friend of mine. Offered is his 1982 911 Carrera Sunroof Coupe. I remember the day he bought it 24 years ago....Man how time flys! A little history: He purchased the car locally in 1988. It has it's original paint/interior and the car has been garaged since the first day he owned it. He always had a few other cars at the same time over the past 24 years, so it was driven in the rotation. It also has seen some highway miles on various golf day trips....My friend is a road warrior and doesn't think twice about hopping in the 911 at 3 a.m., driving 6-7 hours for a round or two of golf, and returning home the same night....He's a hard core golfer, but the point is the 78,518 actual miles are a good mix of highway and city driving. The car has always been properly maintained by the local "Porsche Guru" independent service shop and has recently been serviced. The exterior is original paint and still has plenty of shine. Up close, there is some checking on the sunroof panel, above the windshield trim, and along the C pillars. When polished, the appearance of the checking is reduced and the rest of the car is slick and shines. There are no door dings or dents. Like any 911 that is enjoyed, the mirrors, bumper, and hood have the typical 911 acne...The silver color makes it less noticable. The black window trims are nice with no flaking paint or scratches. The interior is all original as well and in very good condition. The dash has no cracks nor do the door panels. The guages faces are not discolored (non-smoker) and all function properly. The headliner has no tears or sags. The primary floor carpets have some discoloration but are original. These are isolated sections and are easily replaced. The car drives excellent and will make a great toy for someone without investing big dollars....These older 911s have pretty much bottomed out on the depreciation scale, so it you buy a good car and take car of it, you can enjoy it and get back your money when you are ready to sell. He DOES have the original Tool Kit and Tire Inflator along with the original Owners Manual.
