California Car!! 1966 Buick Wildcat Convertible You are bidding on a beautiful example of a 1966 Buick Wildcat. This car was originally a California car that was shipped to Michigan about 10 years or so. The car was then babied by the gentleman that I purchased it from. He put 10 years of love into her. I have receipts that go back to when the car was shipped here and everything that was done thereafter. I have only seen a few other convertible for sale since I purchased this one that were in comparable condition but had fresh paint, they sold between $14,500.00 and $16,500.00. This is a very prime example of a very easy car to finish the restoration on and be driving with a couple weekends of work. I just do not have the time to do so anymore. The motor has been rebuilt and runs very strong, turns over as soon as I hit the key. The transmission shifts smoothly as well, it does not slip. When I purchased her I installed all new brakes including, pads, drums, wheel cylinders, master cylinder and all other necessary hardware. California smog equipment is still installed and hooked up! After that I was able to drive her home from the shop and it was an absolute dream! The body is still beautiful! You can see from the pictures there a few spots of surface rust on the hood and such. The lower rear quarters are still beautiful and clean. The lower front quarters do need some work but it looks to be more surface rust than rot. The floorboards and truck pan are beautiful still and the undercarriage is one of the best I have seen on any vehicle for awhile. All other panels are rust free!! Trim and moldings are still in nice shape all dented and dinged up. Original hood ordinate is still intact. Glass is still in great shape! The interior is in nice condition! The carpet isn't ripped, the seats are not ripped, the door panels are in good condition as well. The dash does have some California cracks in the pad still, these could be repaired if you couldn't find a pad. The trim on the dash is still in very nice shape. Steering wheel looks wonderful still. Center counsel is beautiful as well. As I mentioned I have ten years of receipts from the previous owner, engine rebuild, new top, and maintenance from over the years. Every time he needed something done he took it in. He kept her in a clean garage up on a hill so he wouldn't have to worry about too much moisture.
