Vehicle Detail

Looking for an exceptional, clean, full-powered luxury SUV? Consider my well-taken-care-of 2000 Land Rover Discovery. Meticulously-maintained, garage kept, non-smoker, NO RUST, only minor, minor cosmetic dings and ready for a new owner. 131,000 miles, and ready for half a million more. Just keep it maintained as well as I have and it should run forever. New this year, all four O2 sensors (at $100 apiece!), new plugs and wires, new coolant and flush, new radiator hoses, oil change 100 miles ago. This truck is road ready! Premium leather from front to back. Premium sound system. Natural wood grain trim throughout. Traction control. Selectable hi/ low ranges. Full electric powered front seats, all four windows, both sunroofs and both side mirrors. AM/FM/Enhanced FM Stereo / Weather / Cassette / 6 CD changer. Dual climate control. Dual sunroofs. Towing package. Premium alloy wheels. I could go on, and on, and on, but I think you get the picture: it's quite a nice vehicle. I've driven this truck primarily on the highways, down to Florida and back at least 20 times. I have since bought a new Land Rover, so I am offering this entry-level to another prospective Rover owner. Aside from the factory options, mine also has a brake controller, equipped to control the brakes on a towed trailer. I've used mine to tow boats, cars, flatbeds and trailers, and the brake controller is a handy safety feature to reduce the strain and heat build up on the Rovers' brakes when trying to slow down the momentum of whatever is being towed. The rims are in excellent shape as well. None are dinged, scratched or scraped up as a result of a careless driver hitting up against curbs while parallel parking. It's not overly obvious from the pics, but the Rover is Forest Green, with a tan interior. Kbb.com has it pegged at close to $5,200. I'd be happy to send anyone the kbb.com report. No, I didn't select the condition as 'Excellent', or even 'Very Good' on kbb.com. I used a VERY conservative 'Good' classifier, although I am sure the vehicle is in better than just an overall 'Good' shape. After all, the only other grade below 'Good' was 'Fair', and the pictures certainly show a better vehicle than just 'Fair'. Kbb.com doesn't even list all the available options included on the truck. The truck is equipped with a front seat dual climate zone, which isn't mentioned or included in the vehicle value. So, please, don't try to knock the vehicle down. I'm sure it's worth every penny of my asking price. I know everyone wants a sharp-looking vehicle, but no one wants to pay what it's worth. The vehicle checks out quite nicely with Experian, registering an impressive above-range 62 on it's scale. Go on, check it out. Hardly a ding or bruise on the report. It's one of the reasons I bought the Rover in the first place. The seller also checks out quite nicely with ebay: I am a p0werseller, a top r@ted seller and have excellent feedback and ebay credentials, among my other ebay qualities, and am not looking to play games here on ebay. I am as serious as they come. The title is as good as they come as well: a clear title, with absolutely no liens, or other negative connotations. The pictures check out. I've added quite a few. Check them out as well. Plus, I have also recorded a short 6-minute long YouTube video, to be added to the listing, below, as soon as the video has been uploaded, to allow you an even greater idea of the shape and scope of the vehicle. I am not about to try to tell you that it is a PERFECT vehicle. It is not. Few 12-year-old vehicles are. You can clearly see in one of the pics that someone has managed to ding my bumper guard in a parking lot. C'est la vie. I dealt with it and moved on. I did not have it fixed, obviously. There are a few other minor dings here and there, and I have taken them in to account when pricing my truck. They are another reason I opted for 'Good' on kbb.com. As you can imagine, I am not about to lower my price much. The dinged front bumper and guard are about the worst possible mentionable aspects of the truck. The next owner may opt to have a new or used ($75 at a salvage yard) guard installed at his or her option. It didn't bother me that much, so I didn't think much more about it. Again, I have already taken this matter in to account as far as pricing is concerned. I know some buyers will come at me with, "Well, a new grill guard will set me back $300." That may be true. But a new grill guard on any other SUV doesn't inherently raise the value of any other SUV by $300, so why would my existing one lower the value of mine by as much? This is a used vehicle, and I have taken in to account used replacement parts, where necessary. It's like replacing a blown engine with a brand new $3000 engine in a $2000 car. Your car is not then magically worth $5000 as a result. Interested parties are encouraged to come and look at the vehicle. Even take it for a drive around the block. You will need to bring a valid drivers' license with you in order to test drive it. This will be a cash sale. That means bring the agreed-upon amount to the seller. Cash only. No personal checks. No third-party checks. No trades. I do not want your pick-up truck or sports car. If you have funds in your paypal account, and wish to use some of those funds, I will accept a paypal transfer for the depoit only, with the balance due in cash. I know other 2000 Land Rovers have sold on ebay recently, for significantly less than what I am asking for mine. Again, let's be reasonable. One of the recent solds had a blown head. A cool $2300- $2800 repair. Two of the others had accidents in their past histories, significant enough to have been reported, and to show up on Experian. Again, please, let's compare apples to apples. I only mention these notations here because I've had to explain these discrepancies to other potential buyers in the past. Want to see the kbb.com page yourself? I tried adding the link to this listing, but ebay isn't allowing it. I'd be happy to email anyone the link to the same exact kbb.com page which shows the same information that I used for my listing. Or, click in the center of the box, below. The 1-minute long YouTube video does the next-best thing, allowing you to see the same exact kbb.com page that you will see if you click on the link. I can only do so much as far as providing the necessary information. It's up to you to use that information to make an informed decision. Be sure to scroll down even further to see the primary YouTube video, below. So what are you waiting for? A cheaper Land Rover? They're out there, for sure. But, you get what you pay for. Lower priced ones will likely have been in questionable accidents or have serious engine issues, rust issues, or other unknowns. I've pretty much bent over backwards, providing you with all the information I could on my end. Do you want one with a warranty? I'm glad you asked. Ebay is offering a warranty on this vehicle. Look near the top of this listing for ebay's Vehicle Purchase Protection plan. My Land Rover qualifies, but only if it sells through ebay. So think it over, do your homework, look over the other available trucks, and then call or email me if you'd like to discuss mine further. To call: 513-223-5002, and be prepared to leave a message if I cannot answer. To email, use the "Ask seller a question" link found near the top of this listing. In either case, please leave a name and a number (please speak slowly and clearly), and let me know the best time to return your call. The overall vehicle video is now available for view. It reveals, among other things, that the dash shows absolutely no lit icons whatsoever- not even the nagging 'Check Engine Soon' light- aside from the normal start-up icons. This indicates to me a sound-running vehicle. The video shall also allow you to hear the engine purring like a kitten. Click in the center of the box, below, for the video: On Mar-09-12 at 07:54:10 PST, seller added the following information: Bidders with less than 10 feedbacks MUST contact the seller prior to placing a bid or risk having his or her bid removed. Thanks! On Mar-10-12 at 02:55:23 PST, seller added the following information: Something has come up requiring the seller to head out of town for a few days. The vehicle will be not be able to be seen nor driven during this time. Bid as you normally would. If you happen to be the winning bidder, and decide not to complete the sale as a result of not having had the opportunity to see the truck prior to bidding, we will be happy to nullify the transaction. On Mar-13-12 at 12:58:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Bid as if each bid were your last! I just might be inclined to take your last bid and sell it to make room in my driveway! You never know!
