1952 Cadillac Fleetwood. This is the top of the line cadillac and golden anniversary edition. This is one of the smoothest cars i have ever driven. I've seen many other 52's but I've never seen the chrome on the doors or the little chrome gills on the back doors. I bought the car because the body is in such amazing condition and all the chrome was fair. I've gone through this car mechanically. This car is sound and is a great daily driver. A few things about this car. Someone installed a nylon cover a very long time ago, so there is a very good chance that the front seat is original upholstery. The rest of the upholstery is in fair condition and original. There is a tear in the rear seat that is on the seam and can be sewn. The drivers side door and the passenger door leather is torn at the seam from sun exposure. The headliner is in great condition and all original. The carpet is a really thick canvas material and is original and in good condition with no tears. The paint is not original but is in fair condition. On the bottom of the rear driver's side door the window hydrolics had leaked and peeled the paint. This is not rust. Check pictures to see. There is light surface rust in some spots under the car. There is a rust crack on a flange beneath the rear bumper. It is not structural and thats the only bad spot that I see. It looks like at some point the car had been rust coated underneath. The front grill has a ding and someone had repainted it in gold (very badly). Since I've owned the car these are the repairs that have been made by Benders custom exhaust: > Motor rebuilt from top to bottom 332 engine> Water pump, New> Valve job, machine work> Engine bored, crank turned> Installed rods on pistons> Installed freeze plugs and cam bearings> Installed hardened seats in heads> Painting and prep engine with rust pre treatment> Install of crankshaft, pistons, rings and bearings, timing chain, gears and timing cover> Install cylinder heads> Install rocker arms, lifters and pushrods> Rebuild and install of oil pump and windage tray> Gas tank refurbished> New fuel pump> Generator and Carborator rebuild> All new exhaust system (tips are not original)> All the window hydrolics are new except drivers side (all windows work)> Hydrolic seats work> Windshield wipers work> All glass is in excellent condition> Taillights,headlights and turn signals all work> All interior lights work except for the drivers dash light> Tires are whitewalls and in good condition The transmission is shifting hard from second to first when slowing down. Took it to a transmission shop and was told it was shifting fine. On the highway it purrs. These are the things that are not working on the vehicle: > The speedometer cable is broken (milage is not correct but 50,960 is what the reading says and had to be provided in description) > The gas gadge stopped working recently, it's the sending unit from the gas tank (the mechanic told me to put a new one in and I didn't because at the time it was working)> Radio> Tailights are crackeled and old and original Terms of Sale: We've told you everything we know about this car. Buyer is responsible for shipping but will deliver in the Albuquerque area. Will drive the car out west anywhere for an additional fee.
