Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a 1994 Mercedes-Benz E420 with very low original miles. Currently at 105,4XX miles on the ODO. It is Gray fitted with an all Leather Black interior which is in remarkable shape for this model year. I have owned this car a few months now but it is time to move on to another project. Essentially it was a car for my significant other(secretly for myself to steal from her) but she insists on getting something that has fuel economy in the 30's and does not require premium. I will be very honest about every aspect of this vehicle in order to guide the buyer in the right direction. I am not a dealer just a well informed enthusiast, who loves classic German cars. Starting with the Mechanicals The engine had undergone a service at a MB workshop before I had purchased it. It seems the plugs and wires are all new, along with new rotors up front. Now here is a list of things I had done to it in order to bring it to daily driving duties. **Notice all parts are OEM** Behr, Mann, Mahle, Bosch etc. NO AFTERMARKET JUNK!!! New radiator New serpentine belt New transmission mount New engine mounts (both sides) New transmission filter New transmission gasket Ate Superblue Brake fluid flushed New fuel filter New air filters Brand new tires Proper coolant Fresh oil change Transmission oil change including flushing the converter New power steering filter New oil pan gasket I have flushed all the fluids on this car save for the diff. It can still be done if anyone would be interested I would just charge a bit for it. All the lights work as intended, there are no cracks or chips in any of the windows, they all appear to be OE. This car has NO Check Engine lights or faults. Engine runs very smoothly, as does the transmission. There is no jerking or hard shifts just a smooth well oiled operation. There are no odd noises coming from any areas of the vehicle. All fans, belts, cooling components, fuel pumps work as they should. This car has never over heated or had any coolant mix with oil or vice versa. There are no leaks from the valve cover gaskets or from the head gaskets. The engine is as dry as it left the factory. In the time I had owned it I noticed no oil use or coolant use. It comes with the original 5 wheels and tires that came on the car, the tires have maybe 40-65% tread life left. The AMG wheels are genuine and come with a set of brand new tires. They have no major bands nor any major damage. They required very little balancing weights. All the interior electrics work as intended from the heater to the A/C. It is hard to test but when switched to the A/C setting the car blows quite cold air so I assume it either had the OE lines replaced behind the dash or they have not failed yet. The suspension does not make any odd noises and works as intended. The shocks are not blown and the car rides very smoothly over bumps and is at home on the highway. An absolute cruiser, it just soaks up miles here stateside as it was back home on the Autobahn. I have not noticed any foul odors in the interior of this car nor the outside. It appears to be a non smoker with clean ashtrays. The radio works quite well without any distortion in sounds from failing speakers. The interior is dry without any mold or moisture in the carpets. The sunroof works 100% both tilt and slide, without any binding or issues getting stuck. The rails are very clean and well lubed. This car has absolutely 0 rust on the frame or any structural component. The single wiper works remarkably well without any faults as does the pressure washing system. I have the original books for the car showing that for most of it's life it was serviced at the MB dealer. As far as the negatives go: This car is 18 years old and it had spent its life here in the NJ/NY region. It has a few scratches and a couple of minor dents but they are hardly noticeable. It is a 5-7ft car meaning you will only know where the imperfections are. The front corner lights have suffered the reign of the previous owners son who has determined that after watching The Fast and The Furious one too many times it was going to be a brilliant idea to put on some smoked corners. (usually a subtle and clean mod that in this case would complement the car) However something along the simple line of steps went horrid and there is a whole bunch of goo of some sort around the edge of the lights not sure if it is glue or what just doesn't look fabulous as he thought it was going to look. The Pass/Side wiper arm is a bit broken. 2 of the AMG wheels have minor imperfections on them, one has oxidized on 3 inches of the lip the other has a few minor scratches on the surface. Interior is missing 1 plastic cover for the High speed fan. The power mirror regulator is kaput as well. So all in all the mechanical aspect of this car is Panzer strong the cosmetics are what needs a little bit of work. Interior 9/10 Drivetrain 9/10 Exterior 7/10 Now the boring disclaimer bits: I will list this on enthusiast forums and else where on the internet so I have every right to pull this ad at any time. This is a used vehicle that is 18 years old, although when you come take a look at it it will startle you how well it is kept please be realistic. I suggest the potential buyer comes and inspects the car themselves just to confirm my assessment. There is NO WARRANTY of any kind with this sale. Not written. Not implied. Nothing. I am not a dealer. I own an Auto Transportation company and shipping Door to Door can be arranged for a very fair price. I require a 500$ Paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction close. If you bid please have the funds available. It is next to impossible to take out any loans for a car this old. Any questions please email me m1m1@nyc.rr.com On to the pictures
