Hi, up for auction is my 1989 Mercedes 190e 2.6. This car was purchased by my father in 1998 with 90,000 miles on it and since then it has served the family well. It is one of only a handful of 190's imported with the 2.6 liter, 6 cylinder engine and a 5-speed transmission which makes is a blast to drive. Oil and fluid changes have been regularly done at 3000 to 5000 mile intervals. Improvements and replacements include Eibach springs (lowering the car by 1",) Sachs shocks, 16" Sport Edition wheels, 300e ECU, Pioneer CD player, front wheel bearings and a new timing chain at 220,000 miles. The original black paint is in great shape as is the matching black interior save three cracks in the driver's seat (pictured) and the tops of the rear door cards where the vinyl has pulled back slightly. The odometer stopped working in 2008 at 218,069 but since then I've only driven it an average of 5000 miles a year. This car runs and drives great. It does have high mileage but still pulls strong. Things that will need replacing include the rear window switches (rear windows won't roll down,) sunroof track (sunroof will vent but not retract) and the A/C compressor (charged but will not kick on.) The heat, all fog lights and running lights, defrost, interior lights and cruise control work perfectly. There is no rust on the car and it has a clear GA title. I hate to sell this car as it has been part of the family for such a long time but its time for someone else to enjoy it.
