Vehicle Detail
Sweet little Datsun. 5 speed dogleg. Treated with respect. Brake work complete; New brake cylinders, shoes and hardware. Herculiner on the bed. Newer exhaust. L-16 motor. New alternator. New starter. Newer battery. New voltage regulator. New weber carb. New Petronix electronic ignition. New plugs. New Solex door locks. Good compression. I'm calling (new) as less than 1000 miles. New Grant steering wheel. Seals are in okay condition. Seats are from a Toyota Corrolla I believe and are bolted in. Surface oxidation on the underside but NO cancer. This truck has been parked since October 2010. I have owned it for about 3 years. I drove it at least once every week. No heater or A/C. No cruise or power anything, (duh). Paint sucks but looks good from 50 feet. Stick on decals can be removed. Wheels painted by yours truly. Terpantine and say good bye. No head-liner. No radio. Back window and windshield professionally tinted, sides tinted by me and not the best. Interior carpet was in good shape until I let someone borrow it. Now drivers side is a little stained. Not all gauges work. Speedo off by 10 mph. Gas gauge not working. Differential is slow leaking, (not sure why) and there is a slow draw on the battery. I know this truck to be in good condition. Runs good and drives fine. Good acceleration. Dog-leg 5 speed transmission. Definite head turner as you do not see these around much at all. I've seen two here in New Mexico in the last eleven years. Buyer pays shipping costs or come and get it. I'd trust it to drive anywhere, (500 miles), as long as you are not bent on accessories it should be a fun drive. No spare. No extra parts, unless I find some laying around. Happy bidding. On Mar-01-12 at 18:37:47 PST, seller added the following information: I found the box of parts!!! They will go with the truck. Gaskets, water pump (new), door seal(s), mirrors, hoses, other miscellaneous. No bumperettes...sorry. I will post pictures of the box contents Saturday afternoon. 3pm-ish Mountain time. Albuquerque is nice this time of year. Consider driving out, renting a carhauler from uhaul ($140) and drive it back. Correction on the date, I meant not driven since October 2011. I will thourougly go over the vehicle this Saturday and ensure that all engine compartment fluids are up, battery fully charged, air pressure correct, etc. On Mar-04-12 at 20:23:42 PST, seller added the following information: I just finished checking all the engine compartment fluids. Truck would not start so I had to replace the starter today. Glad I made sure. The truck runs fine now. I drove for about 15 miles through traffic. Shifts perfectly. Posted two more pictures, one of Brake Master service from 09. One of extra parts. New fuel pump, water pump, heater fan (used), some weather stripping, fuel line, misc. small hoses (carb) and radiator hose, used wiring harness, also old carbuerator will go with. There was nothing wrong with it, I just wanted the beefy Weber 20/40. A few other misc. small parts. I could not locate any gaskets except those for the fuel pump and water pump, (both brand new BTW). that's about it. Nice little truck. Turns on a dime.On Mar-05-12 at 08:26:59 PST, seller added the following information: There is a YouTube video available of the truck running and driving. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC70vF1Z61Q
