This is a 6-window sedan that runs and drives. I started it on 2/18/12 which is the day I took these pictures, though the date stamp on the photos is incorrect due to me not setting it after a battery replacement on my camera. Although it runs, it is not safe to drive at this time due to it sitting for so long. I have not actually driven it for 2 years or more but have started it regularly. I bought it in 1999 planning on restoring it but never finished it. It has not been driven over 500 miles since I bought it. What I did get done was have the dual exhaust system replaced, had the fuel tank rebuild and coated, new fuel line, had reproduction floor pans welded in, had the floor pans undercoated and I painted the inside of them after the welding job but did not carpet them so they would not rust out, cut out the rusted trunk pan and welded fresh metal in it's place, painted the trunk pan and undercoated it, and replaced wheel cylinders and other consumable parts made of rubber such as hoses, belts, etc. This things were done over 10 years ago so they should not be considered as newly replaced/repaired items. The speedometer/odometer worked last time I drove it but I have no idea to the actual mileage. It has radial tires all the way around with less than 50 miles on them that are probably about five years old. The passenger front tire will not hold air for more than a day or two due to a leaky wheel. A tube would fix this and the other tires seem OK. The photos show mildew on the outside of the paint and windows due to it being stored in a wooded area where there is not much sunlight. Much of this would clean off and it would look much better, however, this car needs bodywork and paint. It was parked on gravel after the floor pans were replaced. There are extra parts in the trunk including the original air cleaner, some hubcaps in fair condition, the inside of the drivers door, a wing window, and some interior/exterior trim parts. This car is being sold as is. It is a 53 year old car and there are no warranties implied. It needs a full restoration to be safe and reliable. This is a no reserve auction with a minimum bid of $1750.00 required. I will not ship this vehicle and it must be picked up in Evansville, Indiana. A good sized trailer with a winch will be required as it is a big car. You must pay for the item with cash or a cashiers check (if I can take it to my local bank and cash it). A 500.00 Paypal deposit is required within 48 hours of the close of the auction. I must be paid before the title is signed over or the car is loaded. The car has a clear Indiana title issued to me in 2000 without lien. The car must be payed for and picked up within 7 days of the end of the auction. If you are a person who has a history of not completing a deal please don't waste my time as I have buyers restrictions in place and your bid won't be accepted. The low book value on this vehicle is $11,000.00 but some significant work would be required to get this car up to low book standard based on NADA's description. The high book on this model is $27,800.00 which gives someone a lot of room that is interested in bringing it back to it's original condition.
