Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a real Mach 1 with 59,000 original miles. The car was originally a 351 2V according to the numbers. The original owner blew the motor up many years ago. A 5.0 from a 1988 Mustang was transplanted in the car along with the overdrive transmission. An Eldebrock intake and Holley 650 replaced the fuel injection. The rear end was rebuilt with a 3.89 posi. Dual flowmasters make the car sound great. The car has factory AC, PS, and PB. The air blows cold and everything works on the car. The interior of the car is all original except for the carpet and the dash pad. I put a new pad (not dash cap) on the car last year. The driver's seat is coming unsewed in a couple places and could use replacement but the rest of the interior still looks excellent. It has an aftermarket radio installed. The car was repainted in 1995 and still looks fantastic. There are a couple of small bubbles on the bottom of the doors, but they've been like this for over 5 years. See pictures. The undercarriage of this car is solid as they come and rustfree. The bumpers were rechromed and 70 Mach 1 exhaust tips were installed (I just like 70s better). The car rides on a new set of 15" factory rims with BF Goodrich Radial TAs. I drive this car to Cruisin' the Coast (150 miles) for a week every year and it's very comfortable to drive. Even with the 3.89s, the overdrive keeps the RPMs down on the interstate and the car averages a little over 20 MPG. The car attracts a lot of attention wherever it goes. If you are looking for a great looking solid car that needs very little to be perfect, this is the one for you.
