Vehicle Detail
Hi Everyone, Welcome and thanks for taking a look at my low mileage1965 El Camino with only 82K original documented miles - that's less than 2k per year folks. This is and was one of my dream cars and I have enjoyed it but it is time for it to go. I found it in a garage a few years back and it was in amazing shape. The bed didn't have ANY dents or dings in it and was in amazing shape. I have never seen a vehicle like this that even when you opened the tail gate up the tail gate was like perfect and the seams in between and was free of rust and was unmolested. The over all automobile was pretty much rust free and for the most part free of any dings and dents so I knew I had found a rare opportunity to restore a nice car and one of my dream cars. I sent it to a very high end restoration shop called Frank Denucci's that has done all of my restorations and he went to work. He re-finished it in PPG base coat clear coat and man does it shine as you can see in the pics. It has an original 283, although I am not sure if it's the orginal and of course has the famous muncci 4 speed that makes it purr when you shift it through the gears. I have driven this for over 1000 miles since I finished the restoration and it floats down the highway and turnpike alike. I have driven many cars but none have turned more heads as this El Camino does when I drive it. The red interior really pops and the only thing I would do to this if I were going to put it into the shows would be fix the driver side vent handle and maybe recover the lower seat section itself as it has a water stain on it. The carpet and headliner, dash, and gage cluster is like new and it has a great look under the hood. It has been PA inspected and is a very safe and dependable vehicle to drive and I am going to set the reserve very low because I have found a 1972 blazer that has been in a family since it was new and I am very privaledged that they are going to sell it to me. When they saw this El Camino and the Camaro next to it they new I would do the right thing be their Blazer that they decided to let me have it. Unfortunatly I only have room for two and the EL has to go. So my loss will be your oportunity to own a really nice piece of history, not some BONDO buggy that some hack put together. This is a rare car because it is an original 4 speed car, not a 3 speed on the tree conversion. It also is a original air shock car and it (the shrader valve) and air shocks and is unmolested and still located on the back cab wall. The underneath is dry and clean an the overall car is in fantastic shape. Please bid with confidence and if you like it, hit the buy it now as it is not going to last. Sean It has a 10 bolt factory posi which we think is either a 308 or 323 ratio. I also put on a set of period correct 194 fueli heads and it has a 600 hollie. Thanks and remember, bid to own it as it is a good one!! Sean267-767-4780 Also, I have sold a lot of automobiles on Ebay and you can see from my history that I do it right. On Jan-11-12 at 15:30:22 PST, seller added the following information: It is a factory posi car also and has a factory Muncie transmission (which alone is worth 1500.00). More importantly this car is very straight and wasn't a rust car. A very solid car that drives straight and has power steering and power brakes. Thanks 267-767-4780 Sean
