1970 dodge challenger 440 cid This is a great american muscle car icon the 70 challenger. It has a 440 727 trans and a 323 rear. She has a new gas tank, front brake lines, and tie rods. Though its an auto trans it still has pedals and linkage for a four speed. This challenger is fairly solid and an easy project. BODY:This is a pretty solid car floors and trunk are solid, the trunk has been patched with metal but is solid and fine for a driver quality car. the front fender and doors are straight and in good shape. The frame rails are real solid with no issues. There is some rust at the bottom of the rear window that requires repair but its not to bad from what i can see. The top does need to to be replaced due to rips and fading. There is some old body work on quarters and a spot on the passenger rocker that would need repair but for a 70 its not that bad. DRIVETRAIN:It has a 440 with an edelbrock 4 barrel carb and stock mopar intake and exhaust manifolds. The engine im told is a 65,000 mile motor that runs and drives and starts right up without an issue. The 727 trans works fine with no issues. It has new front brake lines and master cylinder. The front shokes and a inner and out tie rod have been replaced as well. As you can tellit has deep dish cragars and raised white letter tires they have decent tread but they seem older. INTERIOR:The seats are nice with only minor wear. the carpet is brand new. It has a quarter stick shifter on the floor. The challenger has real nice door and interior panels that could use a repaint but they are in good shape with minor wear. the dash has crackes and should be replaced along with the headliner. This 1970 challenger is a great project that won't take much to be back on the road. This is not just another chevelle or camaro its a 70 challenger one of the most desirerable muscle cars ever made. With a 440 this challenger has the potential of being an awesome car to cruise and enjoy. The challenger is a great car to invest in you still have room to paint and do your own touches to. This is a project car that does need work to drive on the street as it has not been on the road for many years. Once this classic muscle car is on the road it will be a real head turning that you will enjoy for years to come. Showing up at a local car show or cruise night in a 70 challenger is like showing up with a celebrity evryone wants to talk and gaulk at your car.
