It has a nice & strong running High Performance(.30 over 454) 468ci. Big Block Chevy V-8 Engine with a Built 2spd. Power Glide Automatic Transmission with a Trans. Cooler, B&M Shifter & Stall Converter. This 1955 Chevy is street legal and is set up to run on any 91-93 Octane-regular unleaded pump gas. It has Cast Iron GM Cylinder Heads with Blue Anodized Roller Rocker Arms with Screw in Studs & Guide Plates and Solid Lifters. It has a mild RV Cam Shaft that has a nice & tough sounding lope while at idle. HOLLEY 4 Bbl. Performer-Double Pumper Carburetor (#4777-7) w/Vacuum Secondaries & Manual Choke that is sitting on top of a New HP Aluminum High Rise Air Gap Intake. The Fuel Cell is located in the center of the rear floor pan inside of the car. It has a complete Braided Fuel Line Kit with an Inline Fuel Filter that run from the fuel cell all the way up to the carb. The carb. has a full Braided Hose Fuel Line setup with all Anodized Fittings. Also has a Fuel Pressure Regulator with Gauge, Fat pair of HOOKER Headers with Dumps and a killer sounding pair Mufflers with turn downs. The engine has an Aluminum Water Pump, Aluminum Pulleys and Timing Chain Cover, Flex Fan, New Manual Fuel Pump, New TAYLOR 8mm Spark Plug Wires, MOROSO Valve Covers & Air Cleaner, RPM Certified Harmonic Balancer, Complete MSD Ignition System which includes a MSD Pro Billet Distributor, MSD 6A Multi Spark Discharge Box and a MSD High Vibration Coil. The engine is clean inside and out and it runs nice & strong. The transmission is strong & shifts very nice. Also has a new starter and alternator. It has a big radiator and the engine always runs nice & cool and does not over heat. The engine runs great and it holds great oil pressure. There are no signs of the engine having any blow by out of either breather. This 1955 Chevy starts, runs, drives and stops great. This car is very fun to drive and it always draws everyone's attention. Perfect to cruise in on cruise night or to drive through town in or to just show off with at any local show. This Sweet-Tubed & Narrowed 1955 Chevrolet Wagon has absolutely no problem turning both rear tires over when ever or where ever! The headlights, the tail lights, the blinkers and the wipers are all in good working condition. The body of this 1955 Wagon is nice, straight and clean. The body is painted Orange in color on the outside and has a Black interior inside. The paint shines well and the body looks good & clean. It is nice & straight up and down both sides. There are no dents or dings on the roof, fenders, doors or the rear quarter panels. This car is not a rust bucket. The roof rails or gutters are clean. It does have some chips here & there simply from normal driving, storage & age. There are two dings on the lower rear gate because gate looks to have set on the bumper guards at one time or another. From I what I can see & tell, this car appears to have been repainted only one time in the past since new. I would guess the paint job to be about 20 yrs. old, give or take? The paint looks good but does show some normal signs of age here and there. The front & rear chrome bumpers are very, very clean & straight and they are both are in great condition. The grill and the chrome trim are clean and in nice condition. The headlight rings, tail light lenses & rings, parking lights & lenses and the door handles are all in very nice and clean condition. It has a new sun shaded windshield and a new windshield gasket. The door glass and the rear window glass are tinted. The drivers door glass has a crack. The doors and the rear gate align up good and they open & close nice. This car does not have heat or air conditioning. It has a set of 4-WELD Rodlite Wheels with spinners. The wheels are very nice & clean and they look great. It has a nice set of MICKEY THOMPSON Sportsman Tires on the front & rear with good tread. The front tires are 26 x 7.50/15's and the rear tires are 33 x 21.50/15's. The wheel tubs and the work that was performed on rear of this car was nicely done. The rear frame is strong and looks to be a very nice & clean set up. It has an all steel & welded boxed frame. The rear floor pans in this Wagon have been finished very nice. The front pans have been repaired in the past and the body mounts are solid and appear to be original. It has a Posi Traction Ford 9" Rear End with a low gear ratio. It has adjustable Coil Over Shocks. The rear end has been narrowed and is set up nice. The work under the back of the car looks great. The battery is mounted under the car. The interior in the car is simple and clean. The front seats are adjustable CORBEAU Racing Buckets. It has a really nice pair of Custom Black door panels that have "55" with a Bow Tie printed on to them. It has full Black Carpet from from to back. The headliner and the sun-visor are original and in nice condition for their age. Original dash and gauges with a set of Auto Meter Liquid Filled Water Temp. & Oil Pressure Gauges with an Auto Meter Volt Gauge. The ash tray has a couple of holes that were drilled in the face it at one time or another. All in all this is a great car that is very fun to own and drive. I did my best to describe this car accurately and to be very thorough about the condition of this car.
