Rare, and, affordable! Nice original California car, original ohc 6 runs great, 3 speed manual on the column is tight and shifts nice with no noise from transmission. Car has been sitting since '99, is registered (non-op) has both Ca.black plates. The single barrel 6 cylinder still has all the factory smog equipment hooked up, the engine runs great, smokes a little, no lifter noise, it looks like the head and clutch have been done before car was parked, carb. will need rebuild or an accelerator pump installed, the car does run and drive. We replaced the master cylinder, flushed the fuel tank, and, replaced the rubber fuel hoses. We have newer Firestone redline bias tires on stock black steel rims a nice set of Pontiac poverty caps. The car has no external rust through, the body has never had a panel replaced, its all original as it came from the factory. We polished the passenger side of the car to find its original paint under a cheep paint job from the past. The car will need complete restoration, but, it is all there, the only modifications were a bigger radiator, and, a late model front bench seat. I have the rear seat, but, it will need to be re done. The floors are very nice, the passenger side rear foot area was patched with fiberglass, all else is factory GM metal, and, in excellent condition. The rubber 2 piece factory floor mat is in near perfect condition! I have never seen one this nice......Dash is not cut, has the factory radio, steering wheel, and, all hard to find parts. All the weatherstrips are dry rotten, the rear package tray around backglass is very nice, some rust under the windshield area, (it still has the original windshield). All exterior of car is rust free! Trunk floor has scale, but, is all there. I also have, and, will list in other ebay auctions, 2 Pontiac ohc stroker motors, 1 Man-a-fre tri power intake, a Hilborn fuel injection set up for Pontiac ohc 6's, ported heads, aluminum fly wheels, high performance cams, extra lifters, cam followers, etc. from an old east coast drag race team. These items are not included in this auction! The winner of the car will get first access to the items above! The auctions on the above parts will end after this auction, all will sell in auction, local, or to the high bidder of this Tempest.... This package would make a nice street sleeper, or, Bonneville / dry lakes car, hot rod or whatever your difference desires....
