Vehicle Detail
The top portion for those who are not nuts and bolts car people and want to know about the experience of driving luxury like no other for a price and quality you'll never find again. Skip this if you are a nuts and bolts person. We had the 'The Porsche Multi-Point Inspection Report" performed by one of the last accredited inspectors according to the American Porsche Association. He is the last of 2 or 3 in the east coast and was trained on the model I am selling and those similar to it. So I have the full report PDF's by the inpectioner who works at the Tischer Autopark at Silver Spring, MD. And because this car was loved so much by my step father, if it took it out where he had to park somewhere, he parked the fathest away of the other cars to ensure there is no spot on splotch on it. Anything you see in the pictures is my only camera which is my camera phone. Another perfect cleaned wash where humans wipe it down and it is unblemished as far as I can see after all these years. So if you want a copy of the pdf to know what was wrong down to every nut and bolt then you will know exactly the ONLY things wrong a on in 150 ever build porche targa 1997 cars. Just send me your email or if you put it a serious price that goes over the very low reserve feel free to call me and I'll email or fax it to you. What was so unique porche never did besides the techical things before, from a drivers point of view many people think this is the last year porsche built the classic 911 shape, but there were a number 911's built that year. For some reason they took a chance on making these totally glass roofed, totally push buttoned (old orches you had to get physicaically out and take the tops off of convertible porches) such that you could be going 45 down the road and decided to with one button press what would usually be a sun roof, which would instead be a whole retraction from just above the sun visors and continue to retract all the way into the back on the small back 2 seats for a truely covertable feel. But if the next moment it started to rain, one button to just reverse the process. And on the other hand if the sun was too hot coming through the lightly tinted roof then another button brought a blacked shade from above the back which would cover right up to where the glass would retract. True push button convertable all with the push of a button. I have yet to see a full glass porche total convertable or hard shell made since and I've been on the lots for all required mainenence. Besides after going 40+ mph, depending on road conditions, the car decides when to raise up the black grate you'll see at the back of the pictures. I wish I could have gotten you a picture of that. It can cause quite a thump thump if you see the car with the spoiler up in one's heart, if you enjoy cars. (It does so to stabilize the small weight of the car at higher speeds for safety I was told.) Finally the last from a non technical rider and once in awhile driver of the car, it is really nice to be able to drive in normal standard auto function like normal cars in drive and stuff but also to be able to push the drive stick over and then use the drive stick if one like's or use the shifting gear on the stearing wheel in case you want to have totally control of when the car uses it's power. Sometime I just need to get back home and sometimes I may use the "tiprtronic" (which acts like a manual car) when out for a country sunday drive. But as you can see we haven't done too much of either in all these years. Now Here is the details for PORSCHE AFFICIANATOS written by one himself: 1997 Porsche 911 Targa (993). Second to last year of the air cooled engine. Seen by many as the last true Porsche. 150 built then and never again. This car is rare and beautiful. It has only 35,540 miles since getting car overhauled is a bit of a distance away from the spedometer picture. It is a one owner, non smoker, always garaged vehicle. Glacier white exterior with black leather interior. Tiptronic transmission. All service completed by certified Porsche dealer/mechanic. All records available. Full Porsche inspection just completed prior to posting for sale. The report is available and completely addressed unless you plan to be a long distance driver and not baby the car then eventually in 5 ot 10K it will need need new front tires. NEVER driven in winter weather. You will received a dark brown according file folder holder stuff with every time the car went to the dealer even for an oil change. IT INCLUDES EVERYTHING. Now we need to mention the fine print. This Auction ends early next Sunday Morning. Because this is going to be a changing of the title from the estate of my mother to you, the estate Lawyer is going to be involved at no cost to you of course. Ebay has a lot of info about shipping cars if you are far away, but the most important thing is this -- that I need either the final full amount preferably by the 14th if you feel most comfortable using my lawyer as an intermediary I can give you his information at a later date. He doesn't want dozens of calls until this is over. BUT he says the best thing for me is if you can go to your bank monday and wire-transfer the money there we will have talked about sunday over the phone number below, and as soon as my lawyer received word I'll go to his office monday and fedX to you the title to the Porche Monday night with tracking and signature to the address you specify. Then if you can't get a move to come get the car before my wednesday deadline it doesn't matter because the car is owned by you. I can promise to keep in the the garage space for another week after all that. But that does mean NO ONE can drive the car once it you have the title in your possesion and you need to put it on your insurance asap. Also, it is in a garage space so you need to tell me if I need to make other arrangements if they can't get into garages. Obviously the safest and most direct way for you to get here would be to fly in monday and have me hand over the title and you drive away if your new amazing and rare auto forever. BECAUSE THIS IS SUCH A SPECIAL DEAL WITH A SPECIAL TIME LIMIT EBAY RECCOMMENDS LEAVING A PHONE NUMBER I WILL USE JUST FOR THIS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. THEY ALSO RECCOMEND THE BUYER LEAVING A $500 DOWN PAYMENT MONDAY ESP IF THINGS CAN NOT GET DONE IN THE WAYS I'VE DESCRIBED THEN WE MAY BE ABLE TO WORK SOMETHING OUT. I'M NOT SAYING I'M REQUIRING THIS, IT'S AN EBAY SUGGESTION SINCE YOU CAN'T USE PAYPAL IN THESE TRANSACTIONS SINCE THEY ONLY ACCEPT 10K AT ONCE AND TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. ANYONE -- PLEASE CALL ME BECAUSE OF THE TIME CONSTRAINTS INSTEAD OF EMAIL ALTHOUGH I WILL CHECK EMAIL AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE. MY CELL PHONE NUMBER IS: 202-486-8222 If I do not answer PLEASE LEAVE ME A MESSAGE WITH YOUR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER SLOWLY AND THEN WHAT YOU ARE ASKING FOR and I will get back to you asap. It is an incredibly busy 2 weeks. Do not worry though my lawyer seems to think as long as I receive a call sunday it will be no problem getting the legal stuff done. I'll give the winner, the lawyer's name and number then. He is a WELL-RESPECTED ESTATE/PROBATE lawyer in Washington, DC with a law practice with other lawyers, but he can do just about anything you need. But I need to put a warning out: that if I haven't heard from the winner who will know by the time they wake up Sunday if they have won, by Monday or Tuesday at the latest I am putting in print I will consider this non-payment for a sellers items and take it back and sell it out of the estate when I have more time and can hopefully make more money on it to make up for it unless something extraordinary can be worked out. GOOD LUCK! AND TAKE CARE OF THIS VERY SPECIAL ONE OF A KIND AUTO WHICH COULD POSSIBLY GO UP IN PRICE DEPENDING ON HOW YOU WANT TO USE IT. OR MAYBE IT'S JUST TIME TO HAVE FUN WITH IT! I need to let it emotionally go from those who have left this earth! ps AS YOU AS CAN SEE I HAVE ALWAYS MADE HAPPY ARRANGEMENTS WHETHER BUYING OR SELLING BY MY 100% satisfaction and I don't want to risk the years of getting all these ebay kudos on this so let's please all bid if you can meet what I've stated and I'm sure you'll find happiness in your purchase! On Feb-05-12 at 17:48:00 PST, seller added the following information: Answering some questions that may not be obvious: Just so you know, sorry for some of the typos and confusions above but they are unchangable after someone has bid. I'll try to answer some questions I've gotten. First of all, you WILL RECEIVE an accordian-style manila folder which holds every single paper from when the porsche went in even to get an oil change (always at a dealer). EVERY PAPER FROM 1997 is there. So are the 2 working keys we managed to fix the 2nd we didn't know was fixable until this special dealer in Silver Spring, MD. I advise calling them if you have any questions or want 2nd opinions. We have EVERYTHING the porsche came with including some extra porche "presents over the years I see no need to keep for instance I THINK there is a porsche cig. lighter vaccum, etc...." What extra included with the car is "AS IS". Besides what the 2 third party inspections have both concluded (as you can read in my PDF or in EBAY's third party "prime condition" although Ebay's says they take a point off for mileage, whereas I'm sure from everyone I've talked to about setting a price and the research somewhat similar cars are going to on edmunds (30-80k) that when buying a car the lower the mileage the better. And what you can read if you send me an email to send them to you, or if you are the buyer you will have them with the car, the lawyer says I need to write the car "AS IS" to protect the estate -- Asaid from all that is listed found wrong and fixed to bring the car into the highest condition which we paid for. And since we have such extensive recent paperwork showing nothing wrong unless they are planning on going cross country driving they will need tires sometime, this is the best deal you will get on one of the original 150 (who knows how many are left?) Porche 933 Targa's where you can press one button and have a convertable and another and a hard dark top without getting out of the car. AGAIN PLEASE CALL IF YOU NEED ANYTHING QUICK. I'm going to go answer ebay emails about this now. 202-486-8222. Leave a deatailed message and call back and finish if it cuts you off, as i've made it allow the longest message possible. Secondly, I'm assuming you are going through all 12 pictures and seeing the closeup of the mileage and and then I mentioned that we saw the last of the porsche registered third party inspector who has the forms and knows where every nut and bolt is on porsches of my specific year and those close as many say to "the last of the true porsches because of the the classic body style and air cooled engines". And his being taught in factories in Germany doesn't hurt. Again I can send over the PDF to you and the payment sheet showing how we addressed absolutely every problem he could find and -- he looked carefully. He has his reputation to keep since soon there will be no more of them. Saving this actual paper you'll get upon transfer would be important, I would think. I was just worried that when you saw the milage on the picture being 200 miles different than it is as yesterday when I went to give a more precise answer, I didn't want you to think anything funny was going on, like i was rounding in my favor. I am being as absolutley as straight as possible because the car allows me to be. There is absolutely no reason for me to do anything but deliver the plain truth about this amazing car. Any more questions I think others may benefit from I will post below:On Feb-07-12 at 11:18:09 PST, seller added the following information: Although ebay has many links about how to transport cars I did get a call from a specialized car mover that has climate controlled transport and whose business is transporting high end cars, provides warranties. He said he was bonded and insured. If you are interested in the info, I saved it but I have NOT used them and get nothing from them so you would need to fully vet them as you would anything else. You just want to make sure this car gets to you in the same perfect condition it leaves! On Feb-09-12 at 11:15:29 PST, seller added the following information: See huge BUY IT NOW DROP!!! Be a good home!
