Vehicle Detail
This is a 1966 Chevrolet Caprice which would make a great restoration. The bad, rust in the floor boards, as most have, and rust behind each wheel, roof rust from vinyl top. Now the good. The body is very straight, I don't think it has ever been wrecked. The doors shut just as it was brand new (very solid and no effort) It has a 327 engine (with double hump heads) powerglide transmission and a 12 bolt rear end. The engine was rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago and engine tranny and rearend are original to the car. The engine will run, it has an aftermarket carb and HEI distributor. Looks like they just painted over the factory paint. I have a set of front patch panels that go along with the car, also the original front fender, extra front bumper, hood and deck lid. It has most of the chrome trim which is in good shape needing some polishing, missing back window trim and top piece of front windshield trim. This was a man's daily driver until 1995 in which he parked it and then sold it. I saved it from going to the crusher and was going to make it my project, but I don't have the facility to restore it. If you have any questions feel to contact me. This is a pick up only item.
