You are looking at an auction for a 1970 Lotus Elan Plus 2. This car has been off the road since the 1980's and is in pretty rough shape. The car has spent most of the last 25+ years sitting outside. The car is complete but would need lots and lots of work to be brought back to its former glory. This is probably best suited as a parts vehicle. The exterior has peeling paint and two large cracks in the fiberglass; one on the top of the right fender and the other on the rear section of the roof. The roof crack has caused the rear window to separate from the roof line. See pictures for more details. All glass is intact. Front bumper is in decent shape. Rear bumper is straight but has some surface rust. Interior has suffered from being outside. Carpet is gone, wood on dash is very bad, seats are intact. Original engine is in the car and does crank but hasn't been started in many years. Odometer reads 44k, probably original but is being sold as miles exempt. The car has a clean California title. California buyers must pay Sales tax. Buyer responsible for pickup and shipping. The car does roll so it can be easily loaded onto a trailer. Car must be paid for and picked up within 10 days of the auctions end.
