Now re-listed with NO reserve Like several others, this restoration is currently available because of heart surgery, which has caused a redirection in the shop. This car is for sale at the shop, and the listing may be ended at ANY time if no bids have been placed 1960's Baxter Brother's Special Built by Wisconsin's Baxter Brothers on a 1961 'Big' Healey chassis , with 1971 Fiat/Lancia dual overhead cam 1608 cc power. Before his death, the older brother was a Fiat Master Mechanic, so the DOHC motor was chosen for it's excellent design, and great power to weight ratio., coupled to a Fiat 5 speed transmission with overdrive After his death, plans to hillclimb the car were abandoned, and we acquired the car in 2004, as shown in blue. For the last 7 years, the car has been in our shop, undergoing a complete frame-off nut & bolt restoration. After completing the re-assembly with the chassis in black, it was decided to completely disassemble again, and repaint the chassis in the same Antique White as the body. This untimately proved a good choice, as the contrast of detail is much improved. This is an unusual opportunity to acquire a very special car, it would make a great father/son project that is mostly completed, and it is offered here as shown. All of the aluminum panels are original , including the 'hand done' machine-turned dash, as well as the fuel tank.
