Vehicle Detail
Reluctantly selling my 1963 Ford Galaxie that was used in the movie "TIN MEN" !! Documented car was used as the police car in the scene when Danny DeVito goes to the police station and they have a long dialog in front of this car. It was used on the set for over 2 weeks and comes with the movie company insurance statement as well as the clear Maryland title and the original bill of sale. Cool car, runs great, looks good from about 10' but really should be repainted to be perfect. The interior is 100%original and super clean. Just a great original driver that was resprayed for the flick. It was originally gold. It has a few minor problems that are easy to straighten out and is currently sitting in our prop warehouse because the brake line to the rear broke and has no brakes..good thing it happened in my driveway just moving it around last spring. The 6 cylinder runs strong and has a valve tap that needs adjusted(mechanical tappets). Clutch is fine and it's the old "3 on a tree". All the glass is good. Seats have a few spots that will come out,but nothing major. Has had mothballs in her for over 5 years,so it ain't so rosy smelling. No mice issues thought! Body is about 98% solid and in good shape with a few minor rust holes about a dime to a quarter in size with some rocker work needed. All in all the body is straight and presentable. The original roof light was a prop, but I acquired the blue one seen in the one picture that will go with the car. No holes have been made in the roof, ever.Tires and exhaust are good. Before the brake line broke, the brakes worked fine.Crome needs attention but all the trim is straight. If it was up to me,I would just fix the minor items and drive the car like it is..call it patina!! Get a Barney Fife hat,a decal on the side and go have fun. I originally bought this to repaint maroon and go pick up my dad in it one day since we had the same exact car(right down to the 6 cylinder) when we drove together to the horse track in Bowie. he bought that car new and always missed it,so I wanted to surprise him one day..well he got cancer and passed away in a short time and I just can't do the car. The car is located in Baltimore city at my warehouse now for whoever wants to come see it. Just send your number thru ebay and I will call you.On Jan-25-12 at 05:20:32 PST, seller added the following information: Correction in the mileage,it actually has 30k more than listed.Sorry I didn't get it right in the listing, but I was writing it from memory and I have another one for parts with the lower miles. It has a v8 and lots of goodies if you need the extra parts I can set a good price for you on whatever I have.
