Now about this great running 100% RUST FREE, 1990 GMC Jimmy project vehicle..... This was the backup truck for the Top Gear guys for the race accross Death Valley show, obviously since the main truck for that show never got destroyed and actually won the challenge this K5 never came into play so now its up as a great project truck for someone. This Jimmy has a great running 5.7 liter factory fuel injected motor in it, we are not sure of the miles but we believe it to be low miles and the oil pressure gauge shows lots of pressure, and the motor has plenty of get up and go. the motor does not smoke or make any funny noises. The transmission is the factory 4 speed automatic 700R4, it shifts great through all the gears. The transfer case is the factory part time NP 241, it also works great and engages in and out of 4 wheel drive easily. The suspension is all stock and in great shape. The truck has its stock aluminum wheels complete with factory center caps, the tires are 32 inch all terrains that are in great shape, with 80% tread or more left on them. Overall the truck has a really nice stock stance to it. The truck has power windows and door locks, and a power rear tailgate window, the door lock switch only works when it feels like it? All the lights work. All the gauges work other than the speedo and odometer, thus explaining why we are not sure of the miles..... The body is in nice shape, there are no major dents, and its totally RUST FREE. The truck has a 1987 dual headlight style core support in it with a billet aluminum grille. The underneath of the truck is super clean and dry and again totally RUST FREE. The interior of the truck will need to be totally addressed, we pulled the carpet out because we were about to install a full cage in it for the show but that never happened. As you can see the floors are very clean. What you see in the pics is what you will get. The factory dash where the stereo goes has not been cut for a newer style radio and still has a two knob radio in it. The heater core will need to be replaced. Overall this is a great starting point for a restoration or a custom off-road build, and maybe even a cool daily driver, once you own it you can decide what to do with it. Keep in mind we can restore or modify this truck to any capacity you would like. Give us a call for details.
