Vehicle Detail
(1/9 - Add the recent pics of the car being delivered to NJ from Fl. All side molding are in the truck, the car has every this isn't a project car. It only needs an interior kid and paint job. Thanks.) This is the time last I'll listing this car, firm price at $5,500. Thanks. Don't miss this super straight black Florida 1963 Chevy Impala. The car is now located in NJ. I first saw the car in Florida in 2007 while visiting a friend. The car was owned by his neighbor for 15 years; he did some updates, gave the car a paint job and replaced the power glide with a 350/400 engine and transmission. I always inquired about the car as it always sat in that Florida driveway; however it was never for sale. Finally this past summer 2011 they sold me the car. I had the owner update the registration, and I had the professional mechanic responible for maintaining the car do $6500 worth of internal work before having the car transported to New Jersey. I have all the papers, repair list, and transport bill well documented. I can also provide the mechanic name and phone, all repairs are under national warranty. I added 78,000 as the mileage, because the system wanted a number. The engine and trans have 5,000 miles since install by the Florida owner, both parts sound and runs strong. I test drove the car in NJ. All the body moldings are inside the car, the chrome is in great condition. These pictures were taken in Florida before the work was done on the car. I'll post a couple of new picks, however, from appearance the only changes you will see are the hoses. There are no leaks and under the hood is very clean. I will provide the repair punch list to the new buyer, the repairs extended from under the car front-end to the back-end. The car has new brakes. I currently have the car wrapped and roped. This is a true survivor, it's not a project car - I have driven it around the block a few times. It needs an interior kit, hood, and paint job. It's a Florida car so there is very little rust. There is no body damage, I never knew what people meant by 'straight body' until I saw this car and heard the mechanic call it 'straight'. This baby is very straight. The person I purchased the car from was building a SS clone so the shift is on the floor. I the purchased 2 parts 1)Impala center red console and 2) the SS overlay for the floor shift. Theses parts cost me $900 together, I'm including these items as part of the sale. Merry Christmas! Interior Kit - $1500. OEM Hood - $289, Paint Job - $2000 and up depending on how much you want to spend. I think you'll need to spend between $4000 - $5000 to make this a brand new restored classic car. You won't find a better deal considering the history of this car is known.
