1946 Chevy- A true 50,000 mile barn find. This car is a running and driving, all original time capsule. It is rust free and runs and drives very well. It is a fully functional car, and I've driven it like it is for years. I found it from an estate in NJ and have not even changed the tires. There were seat covers on the seats (back seat still covered) and the interior is from the factory. The arm rests and door panels are worn since they were not covered, but otherwise it's the factory material and in near perfect shape. I did take off the front seat covers a few years ago (new material from the factory underneath), and so they are not as pristine as the rear (but no tears or wear). The inline six and fluid column shifter work beautifully, and aside from a little loose steering and old bias ply tires, it goes down the road smoothly and with a lot of power. There is wear and cracking on the floor rubber, and patina and some surface rust in spots on the exterior. But there is no rust through anywhere and when on a lift, the underside inspection is surprisingly dry and rust free. This is a beautiful example of a preserved original 1940's vehicle that runs and drives great.
