Up for auction: A very nice 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 2 door hardtop. This very original "REAL" SS Impala has been a solid southern car for many years. I left the Indiana license plate on the car for honest reasons. I have personally known this car to be in Daytona Beach, Fl. for at least the last 8 to 10 years and before that it was from North Carolina. About a year ago I sold it to a good friend for his son (they live in Indiana). He had the car updated with new front power disc brakes with a dual master cylinder, new seat belts (for safety reasons) and a very expensive stereo set up before it left Florida. Some young people just don't like these nice old Impalas so the car sat at home in his garage and he bought his son a smaller car. He then shipped it back to Florida last month for me to resell. The car has a very solid frame, and appears to have all of it's original sheet metal and floors. There are a few small blisters (look at photos) but they have been there for years so the car has not gotten any worse. I'm not sure when it was last painted but it still shines and is very presentable. The wheels (American Racing Torque Thrust) are nice and the tires are almost like new. I believe it has all of its' original interior which is nice. It has a nice factory padded dash. The stainless and chrome is nice with the exception of the rear bumper which could use a rechrome.
