Vehicle Detail

Hello and thank you for looking at my bike. Up for auction is this VERY BEAUTIFUL and RARE 1978 Suzuki GS1000 motorcycle. This is dated at February of 1978. Yes, this is one of the first GS1000's released to the public. The vin for this bike is gs1000105201 and engine number gs1000107824. I am the first Registered owner of this motorcycle. This motorcycle was purchased from an estate of an owner of an old Suzuki dealership. The bike was rode 82 miles and parked. It was covered in cardboard and a bike cover inside of the garage. It was never registered with the DMV. It was delivered to the dealership, rode for a little bit, then parked. I had a very hard time getting a title for this bike do to this reason. There was no record of it ever in the system and I am now the first REGISTERED owner of it. All I have done to this bike is give it a thorough wash and detail. The carbs were removed and cleaned (not rebuilt). The original pieces are still in the carbs. Inside of the carbs looked great. The fuel had been drained from them prior to storage. The tank still had a little bit of fuel in it and was cleaned out. The tank is in great overall condition with no rust holes at all. I have not lined it (keeping it original). There is the normal amount of surface rust inside of the tank (pictured). The bike was started once (fuel from an auxiliary tank) and ran briefly. Of course it was not rode. The tires were changed due to the originals be flat and so hard that we could barely roll the bike with three guys. I removed the chain (rusty) and still have it if you would like it. The air box (part that holds the filter) is not original. The original one was removed from the bike. This was a common thing to do. So let me recap, this bike is completely original minus the tires and air filter box. I would rate this bike at a 9 out of 10. There is a little nick here and there and there is some wear on the clear coat of the tank by the cap where the bike cover had rubbed for 30 years. I have not buffed the paint or anything of the such. Just a good detail and wax job. Im sure you could have a professional shop buff those marks out. You can see the marks in the picture of the top of the tank. There is minor rust on the exhaust. I have included a picture of it as well. Please review all the pictures and ask any questions. The pictures speak for themselves. This is truly a once in a lifetime motorcycle. Included in the sale is the title (clear and in my name), bill of sales, original key with the dealership's key tag and an old hat from the dealership. There is no warranty nor any implied. The winner of the auction is responsible for the shipping. I do not require a deposit but do require full payment made within a week of auction end in the form of a certified check from a nation wide bank such as Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, etc. The reason for this is my small town bank will not touch other small bank's checks.
