Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1991 Porsche 944S2 roller with 183K miles. Complete car except for partially dismantled 3-liter engine. Block is still in the car with crankshaft, clutch, torque tube, transmission, exhuast. Remove block and do popular LSX engine swap. Head, pan, pistons, rods, etc. have been removed and are available for extra cost ($300) if you want to rebuild this motor. All 4 bores are scuffed (internal headgasket failure) so block will need to be sleeved. Pistons are scuffed. Head, valves, camshafts, chain tensioner (replaced) and crank appear very good. (Rod bearings were perfect.) Has single-adjustable Koni Yellow inserts in front struts with slightly higher rate springs and ride-height adjustment collars. Koni Yellow single-adjustable shocks in rear with standard torsion bars. Solid front strut mount bearings. 17” 993 wheels with RE050 tires as shown, nearly full tread. Or, will sell with 16” wheels and good tread tires for $300 less. 2 track days… car handles very well. All wheels bearings replaced, brake rotors, new power steering pump, water pump, Griffith steering rack, OEM motor mounts, fuel pump, H4 headlights, driving/fog lights. Body is straight and in good shape, no rust, clear-coat worn thru on hood and sunroof, typical front-end rock chips. Receipts. Pickup only in Huntsville, AL. Transmission code is AOS (not limited-slip diff)Option codes are 454, 570, 650 and 946. 12/29 Added a picture straight on at the rear and of the left rear qtr to show no crash damage. Also, mods I forgot to mention: has a K&N panel filter in the stock intake box. Intake box has 3 large holes drilled to improve airflow to the filter. Slight, but noticeable difference in engine power. Exhuast has a straight-thru muffler in place of the cat, with a flowmaster muffler at the rear. Total sound is slightly sharper than stock. (The Flowmaster alone was too loud for my taste.) Also slight increase in power.W/R/T existing block, 928Motorsports can also re-plate the bores, filling in the scratches as necessary and rebore for stock or oversize pistons, giving an option to sleeving. The two options seem to be about the same total cost near as I can tell.
