On Dec-27-11 at 11:41:10 PST, seller added the following information: Just completed service includes the REPLACEMENT all 4 Catalytic Converters with new converters (not remanufactured). When the car started, there were no unusual noises, but after it warmed up, there was a slight rattling noise coming from the exhaust area and when I asked the service technician to remedy that, I was told the catalytic converter internal components/baffles were beginning to fail and the best option was to replace the catalytic converters. This model has 4 catalytic converters, and I chose to replace them all with new units. Total cost: $1,800.00 and the receipt is available. When shopping for a used Mercedes Benz, or any other car, be informed that catalytic converters require replacement at around 65,000 - 85,000 miles. Elements become clogged and they overheat, causing possible engine damage if not taken care of. This service being done will give added peace of mind with the condition and reliability of the car. Also perfomed was the replacement of both gaskets at the valve cover vent chambers, due to a small oil leak, oil & filter service, general check of fluids, belts & hoses.
