Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1923 T Bucket Hot Rod / Rat Rod. I have owned the car for 5 months. I do not have room to keep the car anywhere anymore. The car was bought from Conneticut and as I was told has spend most of its life in Massachusets with the original owner who built the car initially. I was told the car has been in 2 magazines, but I only have a copy of 1 of the magazines it was in. It is was purposely built as a rat rod t bucket. There was a big write up on it in the Massachusets newspaper a few years ago, where the original owner was taking the car all over the northeast with a group of t buckets, etc... Remember this car is a open top car, I do not have the convertible top for it. It is a blast to drive and I have had a ball with it. It turns heads wherever you go. From the magazine pictures I have removed the skull on the front of it, I have removed the skull on the dipstick as well. The car runs awesome, I have never had an issue with it other than a dead battery about a week ago. I left the lights on when I parked it in the garage. I have since replaced the battery with a new one from Advance auto parts. Keep in mind this car was built as a rat rod. It is not a rust bucket, in fact has no rust on it. The previous owner as well as myself have garaged the car. It was a built car and it is not a title car, it is a registration car. In New York pre 1970 there was and is no titles on cars. It is a small block chevy 350, turbo 350 trans. It has no leaks, none. It drives great. It has a vega steering box, all signals work. It has a 10 bolt chevy reared with a 3.90 gear set in it. What you see is what you get, it is a very simple car. there is a keg for a gas tank. There is no speedometer and no gas gauge. There is oil, water, volts. All gauges work. It has a speedway box chassis and glass bucket. IT IS NOT METAL. It has 40 style drum brakes on it. The master is under the floor with an access panel. The car turns great, goes straight down the road. There is open headers on it, but it has a New York State Inspection on it and is currently registered and insured. There is no seat belts, and no horn. Again it is a rat rod. It is a cool car. You will stop at lights and have people talk to you, take pictures of the car, stop at your house when they are walking and look at the car, etc... It draws a lot of attention. I have driven the car locally, and on the highway at 65 with absolutely no problems. It is a fun car, and worth the money. I am just looking to get what I pad for it. I have changed the air cleaner, a few hoses, fuel line, battery, bled the brakes, oil, trans, rear end fluid, radiator fluid, new thermostat, plugs and wires, and painted the headers black. I have both windshields. Short and tall. Do not waste my time with tire kicking. I am just looking to get what I paid for it. Email with any questions. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the car is for sale locally.
