I have decided to sell my beloved 1966 Mustang Convertible. This is a 2 owner mustang , which can be verified through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. This mustang is all around ORIGINAL. And has Been garaged most of it’s life! This car is numbers matching and has it’s original 289 engine and original auto transmission. The carburetor is also original. I had the carb professionally rebuilt/restored, which alone cost me $425. ! Along with original engine, original trans, original carb.....Even the Air cleaner is original as well as the majority of parts/engine components under the hood. Restoration was performed about 6 years ago. And restored according to the original trim tag affixed to the driver door. Most of the original parts were preserved on the car. Only certain parts were replaced mainly because of light pitting in the chrome such as new bumpers, new door handles, Tail light bezels are new . Gas tank and sending unit is also new. I do have the original quarter panel trim moldings that attach to both right and left side of exterior quarter panels. I thought the car looks better with them off. If the winning bidder prefers them on the car, i can install the two trim moldings right away. Any extra parts i have to my mustang (such as the quarter panel trim moldings), go with the car in auction, to winning bidder. This car is very SOLID!!! SOLID FRAME and body. This mustang has it’s ORIGINAL convertible top still on it! The Convertible top is in great condition. You can tell (especially being that the original top is still on the car and in great condition) that this mustang did spend most of it’s lifespan in a garage. (convertible top is manual) The only thing replaced on convertible top is the rear vinyl/clear plastic window. INTERIOR IS EXCELLENT. No rips in seats, gleaming chrome, all ORIGINAL glass with no chips and no cracks. Original steering wheel, all original factory gauges that work! Original radio that works! Blower motor works!! (and a new heater core was installed last year) This mustang RUNS and DRIVES GREAT! In spring, summer , fall….Car will start up with just ONE turn of the key. In colder/winter months, car obviously needs to be choked and takes a few seconds to start (just like any older classic car). It has been rebuilt about 6 years go. No blue smoke, no rattles, no oil leaks. Car runs cool and smooth. No overheating problems whatsoever. TRANSMISSION: Nice shifting C4 automatic transmission. BRAKES: Mustang has new brake shoes, new wheel cylinders and new brake hardware . STEERING: Works Great! Steering is not loose. Very responsive. And yes….it does have power steering EXHAUST SYSTEM: It is in EXCELLENT condition. CHROME: All the chrome around car looks very nice. Again, the bumpers , door handles, taillight bezels are new . FRONT GRILL: grill is original and perfect. EXTERIOR PAINT: It has a brilliant shine, no rust bubbles, the paint job is worthy of any CAR SHOW. WHEELS AND TIRES: Wheels are stock/original. Tires are like NEW. Tires have only a few hundred miles on them. LIGHTS: They all work: turn signals work, headlights work, brake lights work, tail lights work, back lights work, dash lights work, courtesy light inside car works. GAUGES: All gauges work: Oil , temp, voltage, gas gauge , and SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WIPERS WORK! RADIO: Original factory radio! Works I will not give this car away. Serious bidders only.
