I am listing this 73 super beetle convertible for a friend who doesnt have a pc . This is a one family owned bug that he purchased a few years ago ... it had been stored in a barn for almost ten years untill the family got it out and started restoring it for one of their grandkids .... long story short the kid didnt want an old car so it ended up for sale ... the mileage is approx 85000 origonal miles with a rebuilt origonal engine with approx 5000 miles on rebuild ... this lil bug flies !! my friend had it repainted the factory baby blue less than a yr ago and a new top installed less than six months ago ...there are no rust issues with this bug that i can see ...pans are near mint ..only thing i can find is some pitting behind the rear seat above the motor but no rust thru at all ... most of the trim has been replaced when painted ..turn signals, taillights, weatherstrip, fender welt ect is all new .... im not a bug expert but i have owned them before and have been restoring cars for 25 yrs ... this is a very nice driver but not a trailer queen ... and it looks better than most bugs i see at car shows locally..body was basically perfect before being painted .... this beetle looks more like it came from out west than living in the south all its life !! NOTE Re listed with better pics !! further inspection of the bug found that the origonal owners had the underbody coated at some point in its life as you can see in new pics and thats the reason the pans are very nice ... also it has over 400.00 in a new stereo and speakers installed but left the stock radio intact if someone wants to put it back stock ... one passenger side rear fender was replaced when painted a yr ago because it was cheaper to replace than the bodywork to repair 2 dents in it . I am trying to disclose everything about this car that i know of so u can bid knowing its what i say it is ...also interior is factory stock with some wear on the drivers seat and a crack in the dash that you can see in the pics ...
