Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Hello, and thank you for looking at our 1981 Ford Country Squire Wagon. The man who owned this car and purchased it new died when he was 92 years old. His estate was purchased, and the car was part of the estate. I bought the car from the estate to re-sell it on eBay Motors. This old guy purchased the car new when he was 61 years old, had no wife, and only used this wagon when he went camping, fishing and hunting. That’s why there is a hitch on the back of the wagon. He had a twelve foot boat with a 10 horsepower motor that he would use for fishing. This car was only driven approximately 2,000 miles for 31 years. Because the car was driven just about all the time in nice weather (not the winter), it looks as good as it does today. I don’t believe that the car was ever driven in the winter months. This was the old guy’s baby, and he kept in the garage. He always had a second car, which was his main daily driver. If you would come and look at this car, and drive it, you would simply not believe it. The car is clean enough to put back onto a Ford dealer’s showroom floor. It would definitely draw a crowd. The only rust on the car is a little surface underneath the car from being in a garage with moisture and cement. There are 91 pictures to look at in the Photobucket slideshow. Please view them at full size and inspect them very well to really get to know the car. It starts well, runs well, stops well, and could probably use a tune-up, because I don’t know when it last had, even though it does run very well. I put a new fuel pump and air filter on the car. If you would like to fly to Cleveland and drive this car home, it’s ready to go. I think that probably has original valve covers on it, which is normal maintenance to be replaced every 10 years, but I believe these valve covers to be over 30 years old. I took close-ups of the motor, and the paint still looks like brand new! This car is actually the same car that was used in National Lampoon’s Vacation, with Chevy Chase. I am selling this car in a no reserve auction, which means that after 7 days, the last bidder standing owns this car. I am selling this car as-is with no warranty. You are purchasing this car with all faults, known or unknown. I would like you to come and check this car out and drive it, or send an agent or mechanic to check the car out for you and give you a report of its body and mechanical condition. I have this car for sale locally, and I reserve the right to cancel the auction up to twelve hours before it ends. I will not pay for shipping, but I will assist your shipper with pickup. We would like to have this car paid for within 3 days by either cash or wire transfer. We would appreciate if we would get the car picked up within 7 days because we know that you really want the car, and we really don’t want the responsibility of holding it for more than 7 days.
