1997 Ford F250HD XLT 4x4 7.3 diesel with 135,342 miles ( low mileage for a diesel ). It is a one owner truck that I have owned since new. It has been maintained it on a regular basis, including regular oil changes and any maintenance required. This truck had a 2 page option list when purchased, so it has almost very option available in 97. The drive train has a 410 posi rear with manual locking hubs. The 4 x 4 is fully functional with no noises, engaging and disengaging just like it did when it was new. It also comes with an 8 foot minute mount one plow ( which was rebuilt 2 years ago ), a class five trailer hitch ( 14,000 lbs. ), and a bed liner that has been installed since day one. I would say the overall condition of the truck is fair to good for its age, and the fact that is has been in Massachusetts all its life. Body wise the bottom driver’s door and tailgate has the worst rust. The bed has just started to rust through above the wheel well, which I covered with aluminum duct tape. The rest of the truck has minimal rust. Please see pictures, if you need any additional pictures please let me know and I will do my best to get them to you. The interior is in excellent condition no rips or tears. As you can see it has the optional captain chairs with large console for storage. Mechanical wise I drove this truck till March of last year when it failed to pass Mass inspection for upper ball joints and a leak in the muffler. I decided to purchase a newer truck instead of repairing. Since I have stopped using the truck, other than to moved it a couple of times, the a/c has stopped working (probably needs a charge) and the battery indicator light has come on. I also have another complete transfer case that goes with the truck that needs a partial case. The case has a hole in it due to the front drive shaft coming loose. I just replaced the whole transfer case versus repairing the damaged one. This would make a great yard or farm truck as is. Or with some repairs back on the road again!
