Up for auction is a 1957 XK140 I purchased this from an gentalman here is Sacramento CA He had it in the garage for over 35 years Chassis No. 680673 Body No. J2579 And these are the ID numbers for the motor and transmission it came with , For which are not available to sell with this auction Engine No.7064-8 Gear Box JL14858 I was told it he drove it with the new high performance 350 Chevey Motor and turbo 400 transmission The rear end is stock and there was no welding or cutting to fit the motor and transmission The body looks to be very staraight and was told there is very little body work if any It has all the parts to finish grill lights gauges etc.... Has beautiful wood trim that has been reconditioned Very nice steering wheel Very nice interior peices already done in a silvery white color . I was thinking powder coating chrome the wheels and a cloud silver paint job with the platinum white interior already started and would end up a very cool car The floor boards are as solid as new This car is valued to 75k or more finished , Just cosmetics ! We inspected the under side of this Jaguar and found no rust or any damage of any kind It is a great car to own I will pull it if it dose not go at least 18k I will keep it for myself
