It has been used as a work truck so it's not a perfect truck. It has cosmetic and mechanical flaws. It does run and drives good. I have been driving it to work daily. I live in WV but purchased the truck in Pa. I have not tried to get it inspected in WV and the Pa inspection is expired. The truck may need inspected in your state. I bought the truck to drive but have another truck. With college expenses I need to sell one of them. If this truck doesn't sell I may be selling my 2004 Ranger. Cosmetically expect to see dings, paint chips, and bubbles in the body. The paint on the bed does not exactly match the cab but it is close and shows more in pictures in my opinion. The bed was rusty and has been patched and repainted inside and out. The patches were undercoated. There was also a patch put on the bottom of the passengers side rocker panel and it has been undercoated. Both bumpers have dings. One of the tailgate latches does not latch but the other one holds it closed with no problem. Inside the seat is ripped on the drivers side and is stained. All the glass is good with no cracks or chips. The rest of the interior is in good condition. It also has 2 chrome wheels and 2 painted wheels. They are the same style so the would look good if they were all painted to match. Overall it looks good for a older truck. Mechanically it has a few issues. The emergency brake does not work. The cables will probably need replaced. The A/C doesn't work and probably just needs charged with freon. The motor runs ok but has lifters taping on the passengers side. I changed the oil but it didn't help. It seems to tap more when it's warmed up than cold. It's not really noticable when cold but it is when warm. It seems to miss a little under load. It's not a dead miss but rather when you are lugging in a higher gear. At idle the miss is not there. At higher rpms' it isn't there either. I have been told it is probably a coil but it doesn't set an engine code. Coils are around $40 a piece at advance auto but it has 8 and I didn't want to buy all of them. Maybe it will eventually set a code but the check engine light is not on. It is not burnt out because it works with key on engine not running. Other than that mechanically it is sound. The clutch and transmission work as the should and the steering and brakes work as they should. It may need an alignment. The exhaust is quiet and the tires are around 50% tread +/-. The shackles and hangers are in good condition. (common problem on ford trucks) There is no spare wheel with the truck but I do have a spare tire to go with it. I have been as honest as possible with my discription and will take any pictures or answer any questions.
