Vehicle Detail
1965 CHRYSLER NEWPORT FOUR DOOR SEDAN in good original condition. I am the second owner. I bought this automobile from its original owner on 7-18-01. I purchased the car from the oringinal owners daughter who was selling her deceased mothers car. The car had a California title that said Salvaged under vehicle history. I asked the daughter about what that meant. I was told that her mother had been in an accident some years back. She said that to the best of her recollection, the insurance company wrote the car off because of the age of the car and its low value at that time and something about that they were having trouble finding parts. Her mother had the car repaired and then inspected by DMV who determinded that the car was repaired properly thus giving it a Salvaged title.I named the car Lucille after the original owner that purchased it on September 16, 1965 from C.H. Dimmette, Inc. They were the local Imperial, Chrysler, Plymouth, And Valient dealership that was located at 900 Santa Monica Boulivard in Santa Monica California. Following is a list of documents that came with the car.Certicard (customer service document)Owners manualWarranty bookSecurity agreementNew car equipment changes document which states that Lucille had the following items added to the car at the dealership-*Windshield washer*Retractable seatbelts*O mirror*Curb alarms*Underseal*Gop? (Don't know what this is)*Matts*5 Vouges Recind agreementPurchase order for carTyped thank you letter from P.N. Buckminster V.P. and General manager of Chrysler, Plymouth Division, (Hand signed by him)& envelope. This car is a great daily driver with approximately 81,000 miles on the original 383 engine and torque flight transmission. The car also has factory air conditioning. The car was repainted long before I owned it in the original white color. The interior is original and black and white in color. The dash pad is without any cracks or blems. The exteriors paint is peeling and checking. Some surface rust on right rear fender top. No rust holes anywhere. It wears its original wheels which I recently had painted red. 3 of the original hubcaps are in trunk. The car starts right up and runs smooth and strong with no smoke. The Steering is tight and responsive. The suspension responds well also. This is a very solid and reliable daily driver that is a lot of fun to drive. Everything is stock exept for the paint on the wheels. I can also be reached by cell phone if you have questions about the car.You may email me or call me at 407-694-9999 if you have any questions or would like to see the car. This is the real deal. For shipping it will cost 950.00 across the USA Pick up is preferable.Payments should go into my pay pal account.
