A rust free 1958 Cadillac short deck sedan.. Car always in Alabama and Georgia since new. A complete original example that has been sitting in dry storage for many years. I have drained and replaced all fluids, installed new wheel and master cylinders, new power brake booster, rebuilt the carburetor. The exhaust system looks to be new when it was parked. It is very quiet as it should be. I was originally going to use this car for parts for another 58, but it is too good for that. When I say no rust, I mean never any rust. all doors, trunk, and hood fit well and except for some dings and scratches here and there is generally quite presentable. It is an older repaint in the original forest green and the interior has had some touch up but is in very good shape. The chrome is fair, the rear bumper is bent a bit, all stainless is good.It does need a dash pad. The car has crank windows but has factory A/C and is complete with all 1958 parts except for the compressor which appears to be an A-6 rather than the A-5 which was originally on the car. The old A-5 which is not working will be in the trunk. The system does not work, but does hold some pressure. The engine runs well,is quite smooth with even compression. It does have light blow by and there is an oil leak from the rear main seal. The leak has decreased since I have run the car but still leaks. I have driven it around the block, and it drives as expected. all tires hold air, but are bad and i would not drive it far without changing them. This is an unmolested original to make a good driver or use it as parts as all brackets, bolts,and original pieces are here. even the jack and wooden chock block is in the trunk.
