Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Hello. Thank you for looking at my 1981 DeLorean. This is a no reserve auction, which means that the last bid wins the auction when it’s over. I have this car for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime up to 12 hours before it ends. This car was leased new in 1981, and the people that leased it liked it so much that they purchased it when the lease was over. They sold the car in 1994 with 14,000 miles to a gentleman that was going to Westpoint. After driving the car back and forth a couple of times to college, he realized that it was too small for what he needed it for, so he sold the car to his father who in turn purchased a larger car for his son. The son asked the father to hold onto the car until he was able to buy it back at a later date. The father maintained the car for 17 years, and would barely drive it. He would clean the car every Spring and Fall and drive it up and down the driveway occasionally. The father even put in an updated external fuel pump system. Now, 17 years later, the son has a wife and kids, and not enough money to re-purchase the car back from his dad. I purchased the car to re-sell it. At this point, I’d like to give you some details about the car itself. This is a 100% original car, as you can see in the pictures. The frame is perfect, and the original paint still looks like new paint that was placed on the frame 31 years ago. The new owner also gets the original tires and all of the original brakes. All of the mechanical working parts on this car are original. It has all-new shocks on the doors, hood and trunk, a fresh oil change, and a mechanic that checked the car out and thought that it was a very nice car. Reading about some of the other DeLoreans, and how people took them in and spent thousands of dollars getting them re-built, I don’t know why those cars needed all that work done to them. I’m sure that all-new parts are better than all of the original parts, but my car seems to run very well just the way it is. The power windows have not been used much in 17 years. One works slowly, and the other one does nothing. The gas gauge has a broken wire on the gauge itself. If it can’t be fixed, a new gauge is $100. My DeLorean really runs well. It rides nicely, does not bounce and shifts well. The clutch operates like new and the car is a 5-speed stick. This car is just an awful lot of fun to take out on the road. After driving one, I can clearly see why people love this car. When I first took the car to the gas station, people at the gas station all came over to the car asking me all kinds of questions about it and took pictures of it. Everywhere I drive the car, I get very positive reactions from the general public. When I took it over to the local mall to take pictures, people came out of all of the stores, and they were taking pictures of the car themselves! If anybody has any questions, please feel free to cal me at 216-598-7011, and I will do my best to answer all questions. I would like this car paid for within 3 days within auction ending by either cash or wire transfer, and I would like the car picked up within 7 days. I am selling this car as-is with no warranty, all faults known or unknown. If you would like to personally inspect the car, I would be happy to let you check it out and drive it. If you can’t make it out to look at the car, you can send your mechanic out to inspect it and give you a physical report of his opinion on it. I would like the car picked up within 7 days of auction ending. We can assist you with the shipping, but you will have to pay for it. I’m starting my no reserve auction at 1¢. This is fair, and it gives everybody a chance to win the vehicle. Good luck bidding! CLICK HERE FOR 152 MORE BEAUTIFUL PICTURES OF THIS EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN, CLASSIC CAR!
