This is a 1941 75 Series Cadillac Fleetwood. Although not completely verifiable, this was reported to be General Douglas Mc Arthur's stateside vehicle. Story I was given was that when in the U.S. Mc Arthur drove the vehicle and when overseas it was driven by another official. The Pearl Harbor sticker is still on the original windshield. All original glass is intact and stored. I purchased the vehicle to restore, but due to other circumstances, I cannot complete. The vehicle has all the original parts with the exception of the vulcanizing for the running boards and the original fuel tank (interior, engine, trans, radio, etc all present). There are too many parts with this vehicle to photograph or list. The body is rust free and has been garage stored prior to and after dismantling. The body has been dipped and sanded. All chrome has been replated at a cost of over 5,000 and wrapped in paper. Original very rare "Flying Lady" hood trim is intact and not broken. All body chrome is ready to go. The frame and knee action shocks have been replaced and are ready with the exception of the oil cloth wrapping. All interior wood parts are original and in excellant condition. There are too many parts and descriptions to list here. This vehicle will make an excellant rare restoration (only 4 - 5 75 series fleetwood believed to remain in existence) or would make an great street rod. We do know that the vehicle did have a rifle box behind the front seat which was and indication of a military vehicle. Please serious bidders only and only bids within the USA will be accepted.
