Vehicle Detail

1974 MBG, restored. This is a California car with Zero rust now or ever. The car was "restored" in 1998-2000. It is in Great shape still and can be driven anywhere today. Best thing about this car is it has a working overdrive transmission. Don't buy an MGB without it. Makes all the difference driving in todays traffic at higher speeds without overwinding the engine. This car has a binder of receipts covering the maintenance and restoration going back 20 years totally nearly $20k. This is a 1974 so no longer has to pass smog if buyer is from CA, big plus! Front end bushings rebuilt, radiator recored (over $400), engine rebuilt approx 35k ago (complete rebuild), clutch done at same time, has engine oil cooler upgrade. Newer polish carbs. Nicely tuned. It starts right up, idles smooth with no smoking. No leaks. Eight spoke alloys from Victoria British really "sports" it up. Stripe and powdercoated roll bar help give it its sporty look over stock. Good tires. Wood steering wheel, Added Eclipse sound system. Stock gauges all working. Lights and everything are working, except horn. The seats were done by an upholstery shop and the materials used were not of the best quality. They have torn at the seams and should be re-done. It has seat covers currently. Also a new carpet set should be done to make this car really nice. Door panels are original and serviceable. Dash is decent, Gauges are nice and sharp. Basically all usable as is but could use a freshen to take the car to the next level. Car has a good soft top, tonneau cover and a hard top, included. hard top will need rear latches put in place (I have used it but tie it down in back). Body is straight, solid with good paint. Couple of chips around doors and hood but they have been touched up professionally. It looks great. Spare and jack in trunk, could use a truck carpet kit too. This is no show car, rather a fun, dependable, sporty driver that you would be proud to park at a local cruise night. This car is ready to be enjoyed and priced to sell. It has clear CA title and current reg. I can ship it anywhere worldwide. Please ask questions before bidding. I can store it for a reasonable amount of time if shipping arrangements need to be made. I can get a price to ship car to Port of Oakland or Long Beach, CA. Please see terms and have funds available before bidding. If you are local and would like to come see and drive the car, feel free.
