Well I'm sure no expert on jeeps, but this one came my way via a friend who is handicapped, and has owned it for many years. He got to the point where he physically can not use it any more. This jeep is what I call a "Barn Fresh Find" It has been sitting in a garage, idle, for the last several years. The previous owner says its very dependable, and is a good solid vehicle. First I will list the minuses as I see them. Although this jeep has been in storage, for a while, it started right up with a jump. The carburetor has a drip so I shut it right off. The engine sounds great, and seemes mechanically sound. I know it will need a new battery, and a fuel leak fixed. (it's at the accelerator pump...it's a holley). It may have an oil leak as well.(or maybe it's just the fuel I saw). The floors have some rust spots, and the body has a few dents and dings. the windshield has a crack, and the seats ate pretty raggedy. It sure is not perfect, but overall is very solid, and not terribly rusty. It has the Buick v-6 dauntless engine with a 3 speed manual shift. Some of the pluses are that it has an 8,000 pound Ramsey winch up front, as well as a tow bar. The top is newer and in good condition. This would make a nice hunting vehicle or perhaps a good daily driver. I have a clear and open Colorado title for it. I have box of spare parts and extras, as well as, 2 complete shop manuals that go with it. This jeep is 40 years old, and being sold as-is. I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be dissapointed in any way. my opening bid is $1650.00 with no reserve. This jeep won't win any beauty contests, but I honestly can't imagine finding a nicer... lower mileage... mostly un-molested, CJ-5 for the price. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way. Term of sale I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can. A $250.00 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 48 hours of the auctions end. The balance is due via bank/certified check, or cash in person within 7 days of the auctions end.
