1973 Triumph Trident

I bought this beautiful piece of history from it's original owner today simply for the purpose of flipping it. I kicked it once and drove it approximately 30 miles home It is all original except for the 850 kit, the custom made 4/2 header and the megaphone pipes. There is a very minor amount of pitting on front rim. No other rust. There are two very small dents in the top of the tank. Looks like something was dropped on it. Due to the original condition of this bike and the original paint is still like new, I wouldn't touch the dents. This is an extreme find and there is probably not another around in this kind of original shape. It's not 100% perfect but as close as you will get without a full restoration. The only thing not working is the speedo. Owner says it quit about 1000 miles ago and swears that it has less than 10k miles on bike. OD shows 7880.1. The valve cover gaskets are leaking and I talked to Sarasota Florida Triumph service manager and he said he has a '69 model just like it and it leaks too. He says that you can put new gaskets on the valve covers but they just plain don't last long. Baxter Triumph is the nation's leading dealer for used triumphs and they have 2 on their website now that are not one owners and not all original for $9500.00+. Check them out if you have questions about value. I have this wonderful bike listed on other classifieds so I reserve the right to remove it from Ebay if sold. If you are a serious collector, better act quick.
