Vehicle Detail
Hello. Up for bid is a 1997 Geo Metro. This is a base model two door hatchback. Vehicle runs and drives by will need a service soon. Exhaust appears to be newer, by was welded together and seems to have a leak as it is slightly louder. Tires will need replacment in the near future, but will work for awhile. Will need new windshield wiper blades and headlights (very cheap at wal-mart). Vehicle starts everytime with absolutly no hesitation, but sometimes idles a bit high for a while, then returns to standard idle. Transmission needs service as sometimes it is sticky going into 2nd gear and 5th gear does not work at all. Exterior compared to most Geo Metros I have seen is much better. It has a lot of small dents around the body and rust spots on the bottom belly around the bottom of the door, but the frame is strong (this is very rare, geos are know for rusty frames that make them no longer able to be driven). Interior his been cleaned, but still has some stains on carpet and seats. Hub caps are new, as well as new floor mates and air filter. odometer reads 188,XXX miles, but I cannot verify if this is accurate. Vehicle would make a perfect commute car or farm car. If you know geo metros, they are all rust buckets with huge parts missing due to rust...this one is much much better than most and with some work will last a long time. These cars are very simple to work on and parts are dirt cheap. Cost me $22.00 to fill up a full tank so you do the math!!! Radio is older than the hills and only one speaker works, so if you like to listen to music this will need replacing. Windsheild wipers, turn signals, brake lights etc. all work and function with no concerns, but headlights will need replacing. I have tried to accuratly describe this vehicle to the best of my knowlege. I encourage anyone interested to stop by to view the vehicle before placing your bid. Once again, please remember that this is a Geo Metro, not a mercedes. Please dont expect power windows and heated seats...this was ment to be a cheap car to own and maintain to save money, especilly for people who do a lot of commuting to and from work or school. Exterior has many small dents around the body and the interior has some fading. These cars a few years ago were $200-$300 beaters for demo derbys, but when gas prices went through the roof, their value went much higher as the can easily get 45MPG, 50MPG if you install the famous XFI camshaft :) Please contact me with any questions at jude_mousel@hotmail.com Thanks and happy bidding! On Nov-30-11 at 10:13:16 PST, seller added the following information: Hello.
